«Անկախ պատերազմի հանդեպ ունեցած մեր անչափ ցավոտ ու անտանելի զգացումներից, մենք պարտավոր ենք նախապատրաստվել ցանկացած զարգացման, այդ թվում՝ ամենավատին: Խաղաղությամբ ապրելու ցանկությունը յուրաքանչյուր բանական մարդու թիվ մեկ պահանջն է: Սակայն այդ պահանջը դառնում է իրագործելի, եթե մարդը՝ խաղաղությունը սիրելով հանդերձ, չի դադարում հարգել իր պատերազմը...
Չգիտեմ, ով ինչպիսի տառապանք է ունենում շփման գծում մահվան ելքով տեղի ունեցող դեպքերի մասին երկրի պաշտպանական գերատեսչության կողմից տարածվող պաշտոնական հաղորդագրություններին ծանոթանալուց, բայց ես դա զգում եմ հոգով ու մարմնով... Եվ ինչպես տարիներ շարունակ, այժմ էլ նույն զգացումն ունեմ, երբ, հակառակ մեր իշխանությունների խաղաղասիրական ցանկությունների, մեկ օրվա ընթացքում թշնամու դավադիր կրակոցից ընդհատվում է երկու հայորդու կյանք, առաջինն՝ առավոտյան ժամը 09.50-ի սահմանում՝ նախիջևանյան ուղղությամբ, իսկ երկրորդը՝ 18.10-ին՝ Գեղարքունիքի սահմանամերձ հատվածում...
