Միաժամանակ ընդգծենք, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ու իր թիմը ոչ մի կերպ չեն ցանկանում հրաժարվել Արզումանյանի մատուցած ծառայությունից և մտադիր են նրան համոզել, որպեսզի համաձայնի ՀՀ-ում պաշտպանական ոլորտում որևէ պաշտոն ստանձնել, սակայն Արզումանյանը, ըստ մեր աղբյուրի, կտրականապես դեմ է նման «ռակիրովկային»։ Նշենք նաև, որ դեռևս վերջնական որոշում չկա, թե Արզումանյանի հրաժարականից հետո ում վրա կանգ կառնի ընտրությունը, քանի որ ՊԲ հրամանատարի նման պատասխանատու պաշտոնին հնարավոր չէ նշանակել առաջին իսկ պատահած մարդուն, իսկ պաշտպանության ոլորտում այսօր բարձր սպայական կազմի կադրային լուրջ խնդիր կա։
