Կոնգրեսականներ Փալոնեն և Շիֆը դատապարել են ԵԱՀԿ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպանի հայտարարությունը Թուրքիայի վերաբերյալ

ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսականները դատապարտել են ԵԱՀԿ-ում Միացյալ Նահանգների մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Դանիել Բայերի հայտարարությունն այն մասին, թե Թուրքիան «արժեքավոր» դերակատարություն ունի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կագավորման միջնորդական ջանքերում: Վկայակոչելով «Ասպարեզ» պարբերականը, այս կապակցությամբ իրենց դժգոհություն ն են հայտնել ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Հայկական խմբի դեմոկրատ համանախագահ Ֆրենկ Փալոնեն և ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսական Ադամ Շիֆը:
Փալոնեն նշել է, որ անհանգստացած է Բայերի նման հայտարարությամբ՝ ընդգծելով. «Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության ամենասկզբից Թուրքիան բացահայտ կերպով, ակտիվորեն իր աջակցությունն է ցուցաբերել Ադրբեջանին: Նմանօրինակ հայտարարությունները միայն կնպաստեն բանակցային գործընթացի բևեռացմանը»:
Իսկ Ադամ Շիֆի համոզմամբ՝ պաշտոնական Բաքվին Թուրքիայի կողմից ցուցաբերվող ակնհայտ աջակցությունը չի կարող դիտարկվել որպես չեզոք միջնորդի գործողություն:
ԵԱՀԿ-ում ԱՄՆ մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Դանիել Բայերը դեկտեմբերի 17-ին խոսել էր ղարաբաղյան բանակցային գործընթացքում Թուրքիայի դերակատարության մասին՝ ասելով, թե «Թուրքիան Մինսկի խմբի արժեքավեր անդամ է եղել և աշխատել է համանախագահների հետ համագործակցելով՝ խաղաղ բանակցային ճանապարհ գտնելու ուղղությամբ»:
