Բարոհունի Քերոլայն Քոքսը բրիտանացիների ուշադրությունն է հրավիրել Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին

Լոնդոնի Սբ Քաթբերթ եկեղեցում Միացյալ Թագավորության «Մարդասիրական օգնությանը նպաստող հիմնադրամը» (HART)` գլխավորությամբ բարոնուհի Քերոլայն Քոքսի, հերթական անգամ կազմակերպել է Սուրբ Ծննդյան տոնին նվիրված ամենամյա համերգ: Այս տարի ևս Բարոնուհի Քոքսի հրավերով համերգին մասնակցել է Լոնդոնի «Կոմիտաս» երգչախումբը՝ գլխավորությամբ խմբավար Սիփան Հակոբյանի: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված միջոցառումները համակարգող պետական հանձնաժողովից, Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցը կրկին հիշատակելու և բրիտանական հասարակության ուշադրությունը ոճրին սևեռելու նպատակով, բարոնուհի Քերոլայն Քոքսը հանդես է եկել ազդեցիկ ելույթով՝ իր խոսքում նաև անդրադառնալով պատմության դասը չքաղած մյուս պետություններին, որտեղ ևս տեղի է ունեցել այս ոճրագործությունը:
Համերգին «Կոմիտաս» երգչախմբի կատարմամբ քառաձայն հնչել են Կոմիտասի «Այսօր տոն է Սուրբ Ծննդյան», Էդգար Հովհաննիսյանի «Արփա-Սևան» և Ստեփան Լուսիկյանի «Նոր Հայաստան» երգերը՝ Սիփան Հակոբյանի խմբավարությամբ և Էլլա Բաբայանի դաշնամուրային նվագակցությամբ: Սիփան Հակոբյանը նաև հանդես է եկել մեներգով՝ կատարելով Հ. Երզնկացու «Ով զարմանալի» և Գ. Պահլավունու «Այսօր ձայնն Հայրական» շարականները: Ելույթներով հանդես են եկել նաև Լոնդոնի ուգանդական «Աքոլի» և «Սբ Մարտինի երգիչները» երգ չախմբերը: «Կոմիտաս» երգչախմբի մասնակցությունը դեկտեմբերի 9-ի համերգին պատահականություն չէր, քանզի հենց այդ օրը Միացյալ ազգերի կազմակերպության կողմից ճանաչված է որպես «Ցեղասպանությունների զոհերի հիշատակման միջազգային օր»:
Համերգին ներկա են եղել բազմաթիվ հյուրեր` մի շարք կազմակերպությունների անդամներ, քաղաքական գործիչներ և հոգեւորականներ:
«Կոմիտաս» երգչախումբը ստեղծվել է 2013թ. Լոնդոնի Թեքեյան խնամակալ մարմնի (Tekeyan Trust) կողմից, որը 1979թ-ից գործում էորպես բարեգործական կազմակերպություն և հանդիսանում է Լոնդոնի Թեքեյան մշակութային միության և Հայաստանի «Թեքեյանկենտրոն» հիմնադրամի հիմնասյունը: Այն իր ազգանվեր գործունեությամբ և մեծ նվիրումով ծառայում է ազգային ինքնության պահպանմանն ու տարածմանը արտերկրում, ինչպես նաև մշակութային ձեռնարկներիմիջոցով նպաստում է Հայաստան-Սփյուռք կապերի ամրապնդմանը:
