ՌԴ Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան նավատորմի ռազմանավերը ծովային ավիացիայի հետ միասին նորագույն պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ ուսումնավարժանքներ են անցկացնում Խաղաղ օվկիանոսի կենտրոնական հատվածում: Այս մասին հայտնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն` հղում անելով ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարությանը:
Ուսումնավարժանքներն անցկացվում են Կուրիլյան կղզիներից 4600 կմ հարավ-արևելք գտնվող շրջանում: Ուսումնավարժանքներին մասնակցում է մոտ 20 ռազմանավ, սուզանավ և օժանդակող նավեր: Դրանցում, մասնավորապես, ընդգրկված են Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան նավատորմի «Վարյագ» հրթիռային հածանավը, «Մարշալ Շապոշնիկով» ռազմանավը, այլ նավեր և սուզանավ:
Բացի այդ, զորավարժություններին ներգրավվել են ծովային ավիացիայի Ту-142М3 ինքնաթիռները, որոնք 14 ժամ տևողությամբ թռիչքներ են իրականացրել: Ընդհանուր առմամբ, զորավարժանքներին մասնակում է 20 օդանավ:
Նավերն ու ինքնաթիռներն արդեն մի շարք առաջադրանքներ են իրականացրել, մասնավորապես` պայմանական հակառակորդի ավիացիոն հարվածային խմբի ոչնչացումը:
Զորավարժանքներն անցկացվում են Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան նավատորմի հրամանատար, ծովակալ Սերգեյ Ավագյանցի ղեկավարության ներքո:
