«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Սուրեն Պապիկյանի և Էջմիածնի քաղաքապետ Դիանա Գասպարյանի աղմկահարույց զրույցի ձայնագրության «սլիվը» մտածված է արվել, որպեսզի քաղաքապետը կաշվից դուրս գա և Փաշինյանի համար հնարավորինս մեծ տոկոս խփի՝ ապացուցելով իր հավատարմությունը։ Բանն այն է, որ հատկապես Էջմիածնի շրջանում Փաշինյանի դիրքերը շատ թույլ են, այստեղ թե՛ գեներալ Մանվել Գրիգորյանի գործոնը կա՝ նրա հարազատները, մտերիմները խոստանում են գեներալի «վրեժը լուծել»՝ իշխանությանը պարտության մատնել։Կա նաև Արթուր Ասատրյանի՝ Դոն Պիպոյի ազդեցությունը, ում նկատմամբ քրեական գործեր են հարուցվել, և նա ևս չի աջակցում իշխանություններին։

Տեղեկացանք, որ ձայնագրության հրապարակումից հետո «Քաղպայմանագրի» ակտիվում այն բուռն քննարկվել է, և որոշել են լուրեր տարածել, թե դա հին ձայնագրություն է՝ եղել է նոյեմբեր ամսին, երբ Փաշինյանն իր էջում հայտնի գրառումն էր արել՝ կոչ անելով սահմանի տղաներին վերադառնալ և «լուծել վնգստացողների հարցերը»։ Բայց ավելի ուշ պարզ դարձավ, որ ձայնագրությունն այդքան հին չէ, այն, ենթադրաբար, հունիսի սկզբին է արվել։ Սակայն, ամեն դեպքում, Պապիկյանին հաջողվել է հանդարտեցնել Դիանա Գասպարյանին և նրան հետ պահել հայտարարություն անելուց։ Մեզ ասացին, որ ձայնագրության հրապարակվելու օրը Պապիկյանն այցելել է Էջմիածին, և ՔՊ շտաբի գրասենյակից մարդիկ բարձր վեճի ձայն են լսել․ ՔՊ համապետական շտաբի ղեկավարը մեղադրել է քաղաքապետին՝ աշխատանքները ձախողելու համար, և Էջմիածնում իրենց վիճակը գնահատել է աղետալի»
