Փրկարարները Սոչիում մեկ օրում ավելի քան հազար մարդ, այդ թվում՝ 270 երեխա են տարահանել ջրի տակ հայտնված ավտոմոբիլներից ու տներից: Այդ մասին հաղորդել Է Հարավային որոնողական-փրկարարական ջոկատի մամուլի ծառայությունը:

«Փրկարարները տարահանել են ջրով ծածկված տների բնակիչներին, մանկապարտեզներից եւ դպրոցներից՝ երեխաներին, օգնություն են ցույց տվել արգելափակված ավտոմոբիլների դռները բացելիս, տարահանել են ավտոմոբիլներն անցափակումներից, ռաֆտերի օգտագործմամբ մարդկանց տեղափոխել են տների եւ ավտոտնակների տանիքներից: Ընդհանուր առմամբ անցած օրն Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության Հարավային որոնողական-փրկարարական ջոկատի փրկարարների ուժերով փրկվել Է 1007 մարդ, որոնցից շուրջ 270-ը՝ երեխաներ»,- նշել են ջոկատում:       

Որոնողական-փրկարարական գործողությանը ներգրավվել են հարյուրավոր փրարարներ, տասնյակ ավտոմեքենաներ,  նավարկման միջոցներ եւ մեկ ՄԻ-8 ուղղաթիռ:

Ամբողջ գիշեր քաղաքում անձրեւ Է տեղացել: Շարունակում Է գործել նախօրյակին հայտարարված հերթական փոթորկային նախազգուշացումը անբարենպաստ եղանակային պայմանների վերաբերյալ: Հորդառատ տեղումներից հետո փրկարարները չեն բացառում սելավներն ու սողանքները:

Ինչպես նշում Է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը, անձրեւային վարարումների հետեւանքների վերացման աշխատանքները շարունակվում են: Անցած գիշեր քաղաքի ավելի քան 270 բնակիչներ անցկացրել են ժամանակավոր տեղավորման կետերում կամ ազգականների մոտ:
