ՀԱՆՐԱՀԱՅՏ ՄՈԼՈՐՈՒԹՅՈՒՆՆԵՐ
«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է
Բուրբոնը ներկայումս համարվում է ինքնուրույն ալկոհոլային խմիչքի տեսակ: Շատերի համար այն տիպիկ ամերիկյան խմիչք է, և անգամ 1964 թվականին դա ա մ րագր վել է ԱՄՆ -ի նահանգային օրենսդրությամբ: Բուրբոնը նույն վիսկին է, սակայն, ի տարբերություն վիսկիի, այն թորում են ոչ թե ցորենից, այլ եգիպտացորենից: Բուրբոնը ստեղծել է 1789 թվականին Կենտուկիում ապրող՝ Շոտլանդիայից ներգաղթյալ պաստոր Էլիա Կրեգը: Դա է վկայում այն գրությունը, որը լինում է միայն բուրբոնի իսկակաշշերի վրա ՝ «Բուրբոն, նահանգ Կենտուկի»: Պաստոր Քրեյգը շատ էր կարոտում իր հայրենի Շոտլանդիան և երազում էր վիսկի պատրաստել: Բայց ամերիկյան հացահատիկը բավականին ցածրորակ էր, և նա վիսկի ստանալ չէր կարողանում: Հետո նա սպիրտի թորման սարք է տեղադրում եգիպտացորենի դաշտի մոտ և սկսում եգիպտացորենից սպիրտ թորել: Բայց արդյունքը նրան դուր չի գալիս:
Այնուամենայնիվ, նա խմիչքի մի մասը պահեստավորում է կաղնու տակառներում: Ընդ որում, հրդեհի հետևանքով տակառները որոշակի ածխացած են եղել: Հետո Քրեյգը մոռանում է խմիչքի մասին: Մեկ տարի անց, պատահաբար բացելով տակառներից մեկը և համտեսելով խմիչքը, նա զարմանում է համի ու գույնի վրա: Այն մուգ գույնի էր՝ բնորոշ փայտային համով: Եվ նման կերպ սկսվել է բուրբոնի պատմությունը: Բուրբոն անունը գալիս է այն վայրից, որտեղ ապրում էր պաստորը՝ Կենտուկի նահանգի Բուրբոն տարածքը: Չնայած կա նաև վարկած, որ բուրբոն բառը առաջացել է նրանից, որ Նոր Օռլեան քաղաքի Բուրբոն փողոցում ամենաշատն են օգտագործել այդ խմիչքը: Սկզբից բուրբոն արտադրել են միայն Կենտուկի նահանգում, բայց աստիճանաբար ալկոհոլային այդ խմիչքը սկսել է տարածվել նաև այլ նահանգներ, և ներկայումս բոլոր նահանգներում են արտադրում բուրբոն, չնայած ամենաշատը դա տարածված է հարավային նահանգներում և նույն Կենտուկի նահանգում:
Իր պարզության և ցածր գնի շնորհիվ այն ԱՄՆ-ում սկսել է դառնալ ամենատարածված ալկոհոլային խմիչքներից մեկը: ԱՄՆ-ում «չոր օրենքի» ժամանակ, երբ ալկոհոլն արգելված է եղել, բնակչությունը տանն է բուրբոն պատրաստել: Իսկ «Մեծ ճգնաժամի» ժամանակ բուրբոնը դարձել է մարդկանց մեծ մասի սիրած ըմպել իքը իր ցածր գնի պատճառով: Ներկայումս բուրբոնի մի քանի տեսակներ գոյություն ունեն: Ամբողջ աշխարհում բուրբոնը հանդիսանում է որակի չափանիշ և դասվում է էլիտար խմիչքների դասին: Հանրաճանաչության տեսանկյունից անգամ այնպիսի հայտնի խմիչքներ, ինչպես սկոչը, ռոմը և կոնյակը, զիջում են բուրբոնին... Իհարկե, Ամերիկա մայրցամաքում:
