Ֆրանսիացի խորհրդարանականների պատվիրակությունը պաշտպանում է Սիրիայում անցումային շրջանի հետ կապված Ռուսաստանի դիրքորոշումը. այդ երկրի իշխանությունը մինչ առաջին ընտրությունները պետք է մնա գործող նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի ձեռքում: Այդ մասին «Ռիա-նովոստի»-ի հետ զրույցում նշել է Ֆրանսիայի Ազգային ժողովի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի անդամ Թիերի Մարիանին:

 Դեկտեմբերի 17-ին ֆրանսիացի խորհրդարանականների պատվիրակությունը Մոսկվայում հանդիպել է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովին: Բանակցություններն անցել են փակ դռների ետևում: Մարիանիի խոսքով՝ բանակցությունների հիմնական թեմաներն են եղել Սիրիայում ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարը և Ուկրաինայի իրավիճակը:   

«Ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարում մենք ունենք ընդհանուր նպատակ և մեկ թշնամի: Վերջին շրջանում Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունը և Ֆրանսիան դարձել են ահաբեկիչների զոհ, և մենք խոսել ենք այն մասին, թե ինչպես կարող ենք ավելի շատ և լավ համագործակցել Սիրիայում: Ռուսաստանի դիրքորոշումը լայն կոալիցիայի օգտին է, որպեսզի աշխատենք միմյանց տեղեկացնելով, այդ թվում ԱՄՆ-ի հետ»,- ասել է Մարիանին:

«Մեր պատվիրակության մեծամասնության դիրքորոշումը, և դուք գիտեք, որ մենք ընդդիմություն ենք, կայանում է նրանում, որ մենք պետք է Սիրիայում ունենանք անցումային փուլ, բայց նախագահ Ասադի իշխանության ներքո»,- եզրափակել է Մարիանին:
