Администрация Байдена предлагает Армении пакет послевоенной помощи в 24 миллионa долларов

Исполнительный директор ANCA считает, что размер помощи не соответствует масштабам послевоенных проблем.

Администрация президента США Джо Байдена предлагает Армении пакет послевоенной помощи в размере 24 миллионов долларов. Об этом сообщает Армянский Национальный комитет Америки (ANCA).

Согласно заявлению ANCA, отдельной строкой предлагается предоставить 6 тысяч долларов военной помощи Армении.

"Стандартный бюджет, предусмотренный администрацией президента Байдена для Армении, предполагал помощь в разрешении гуманитарного кризиса в Нагорном Карабахе и Армении, вызванного агрессией Азербайджана. Однако эта сумма не отвечает тем потребностям, с которыми столкнулись десятки тысяч армян, перемещенных в результате политики этнической чистки, проведенной Баку", - сообщил исполнительный директор ANCA Арам Амбарян.

По его словам, правительство изыскало средства для отправки 120 миллионов долларов военной помощи США богатому нефтью Азербайджану, но предлагает лишь небольшую часть этой суммы арцахским семьям, уничтоженным и перемещенным азербайджанской армией. По его мнению, Конгресс должен обнулить все американское вооружения и помощь США Баку и направить соответствующую помощь Армении и Нагорному Карабаху.

Кроме этого, отдельной статьей бюджета предусматривается 6 050 000 долларов правоохранительным органам Армении на международную деятельность по борьбе с наркотиками.

Двухпартийная коалиция сенаторов и конгрессменов неоднократно призывала администрацию президента выделить не менее 100 млн долларов США в помощь Армении и Нагорному Карабаху.
