Հուսամ՝ շատերդ հասկացաք, թե ինչ քայլ ձիով կատարեց «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնության անդամ Արտակ Թովմասյանը, երբ հայտարարեց, որ չի մասնակցելու արտահերթ ընտրությունների։ Չնայած, ձեր պարզամիտ մտածողության համար բարդ է ընկալելը, այդուհանդերձ, նա հստակ ընդգծեց․ «Պատերազմի բոհով անցած և չավարտված պատերազմի պայմաններում գոյության կռիվ տվող մեր պետությունը պատրաստ չէ արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների»:

Նա հրապարակեց տեսաուղերձ, որում մասնավորապես ընդգծեց․ «Հաշվի առնելով աշխարհաքաղաքական զարգացումները, արտաքին վտանգները, Հայաստանի ներքին քաղաքական պայմանավորվածությունները, դիտարկելով հնարավոր բոլոր զարգացումները, ունեմ համոզմունք, որ Հայաստանում արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների անցկացումը վտանգավոր է։ Այն իր մեջ պարունակում է ռիսկեր` արտաքին վտանգներից ընդհուպ մինչև քաղաքացիական բախումներ։ Ես այդ մասին քանիցս հայտարարել եմ իմ նախորդ ելույթներում և կոնկրետ շեշտադրումներով հայտնել եմ, թե այս ընտրությունները ինչ վտանգների առաջ են կանգնեցնելու մեր պետությունն ու պետականությունը։ Ինձ համար աթոռն ու պաշտոնը երբեք նշանակություն չունեն և չեն էլ ունեցել, ես դրանց ձգտելու ոչ մի շարժառիթ չունեմ»։

Ուստի՝ կոչ է անում․ «Եկե՛ք համախմբվենք, եկե՛ք պայքարենք մեր պետականությունը պահելու, զարգանալու համար և պարզապես անշահախնդիր սիրենք մեր հայրենիքը»։
