ՄԱԿ-ի մարդկային զարգացման ամենամյա զեկույցի (Human Development Report) հիման վրա կազմված Մարդկային զարգացման ինդեքսի (Human Development Index) շրջանակներում աշխարհի երկրները դասակարգվել են՝ ըստ կյանքի համար բարենպաստ պայմանների մակարդակի:
Մարդկային զարգացման ամենամյա զեկույցը կազմվում է հետևյալ առանցքային չափորոշիչների հիման վրա՝ բնակչության կյանքի որակը և տևողությունը, զբաղվածությունը, եկամուտների չափը, կրթության մակարդակն, անվտանգությունը, տեխնոլոգիական զարգացվածությունը, մարդու իրավունքների հանդեպ հարգանքը և այլն:
Վերոնշյալի համատեքստում՝ երկրների ցուցանիշները գնահատվում են առավելագույնը 1 ամբողջական միավորի շրջանակներում: Ըստ այդմ՝ այս տարի ևս՝ վերջին 15 տարիների ընթացքում արդեն 13-րդ անգամ, վարկանիշային դասակարգումը գլխավորել է Նորվեգիան՝ 0.944 միավորով, նրան հաջորդում են Ավստրալիան(0.935), ապա՝ Շվեյցարիան (0.930): Աշխարհի ամենաբարեկեցիկ երկրների առաջատար քսանյակը հետևյալ տեսքն ունի՝

Հայաստանը 0.733 միավորով Ալբանիայի հետ կիսում է 85-րդ հորիզոնականը, Ռուսաստանը՝ 0.798 միավորով Բելառուսի հետ կիսում է 50-րդ տեղը, մեր հարևաններից Իրանը զբաղեցրել է 69-րդ հորիզոնականը (0.766), Թուքիան` 72-րդ տեղը (0.761), Վրաստանը՝ 76-րդը (0.754), Ադրբեջանը՝ 78-րդը (0.751): Իսկ վարկանիշային ցուցակը եզրափակում են Էրիթրեան (186-րդ հորիզոնական՝ 0.391 միավորով), Կենտրոնական Աֆրիկյան Հանրապետությունը(187-րդ հորիզոնական՝ 0.350 միավորով) և Նիգերը (188-րդ հորիզոնական՝ 0.348 միավորով):
