Մեծ Բրիտանիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Բեն Ուոլեսն այն կարծիքին է, որ Ռուսաստանն իր երկրի համար «թիվ մեկ սպառնալիք» է, գրում է Meduza-ն՝ The Telegraph-ին հղումով:

Լրատվամիջոցին տված հարցազրույցում Ուոլեսը կարևորել է ռուսական ռազմանավերի ու սուզանավերի գործունեությունը, որոնք, ըստ նրա, «շրջապատում են Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ամբողջ ափը»:

Մասնավորապես, նրա խոսքով, վերջերս ռուսական սուզանավ է նկատվել Իռլանդական ծովում: Նման բան, ըստ Ուոլեսի, տեղի չէր ունեցել «շատ երկար ժամանակ»:

ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովան, մեկնաբանելով բրիտանական զինված ուժերի արդիականացման ռազմավարությունը, հայտարարել էր Մեծ Բրիտանիայի «կայսերական հավակնությունների» մասին:
