Переговоры об урегулировании ситуации на границе Армении и Азербайджана в воскресенье продолжаются. С армянской стороны в них участвуют представители Генштаба ВС и первого армейского корпуса. Об этом заместитель руководителя общины Горис Менуа Овсепян заявил корреспонденту Sputnik Армения.

"Переговоры возобновились в назначенное время. С российской стороны в них участвует командующий российским миротворческим контингентом в Нагорном Карабахе Рустам Мурадов", - отметил Овсепян.

По его словам, ситуация на границе остается пока неизменной.

Напомним, переговоры с азербайджанской стороной стартовали 13 мая, однако результата до сих пор нет.

Минобороны Армении 12 мая подтвердило факт попытки перемещения азербайджанских войск в сторону границы на одном из участков в Сюникской области, вблизи Черного озера (Сев лич). По сообщению министерства, утром 12 мая ВС Азербайджана под предлогом "уточнения границ" попытались провести определенную работу на одном из приграничных участков. После принятых армянскими подразделениями мер азербайджанские военные прекратили работу. Ведутся переговоры по урегулированию ситуации, на месте находятся и российские военные.

Помимо этого, 13 мая ВС Азербайджана попытались продвинуться в направлении Сисиана и Вардениса вновь под предлогом "уточнения границ". В тот же день и.о. главы правительства поручил главам МИД, Минобороны и Совбеза инициировать консультации в рамках ОДКБ по ситуации в Сюникской области.
