«Իր պաշտոնավարման շուրջ երեք տարիներին հիմնահատակ կամ դեռևս մասամբ ավերելով պետական ու հանրային կյանքի շատ կառույցներ, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լուրջ հաջողություն է արձանագրել նաև երկրում հեղինակության ինստիտուտի վարկաբեկման գործում։ Խոսքն առաջին հերթին՝ պետական, քաղաքական այրերի, բայց նաև մտավորականների, մասնագիտական հանրություններում հեղինակություն ունեցող անձանց, գլոբալ իմաստով՝ էլիտայի վարկաբեկման մասին է։

Ամենացայտուն օրինակը Հայաստանի նախկին երեք նախագահների նկատմամբ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի ու նրա թիմի վերաբերմունքն է։ Հանուն այսրոպեական քաղաքական շահի ու հերթական պոպուլիստական դիվիդենտի՝ նրանք ուղղակի հողին են հավասարեցնում երկրի նախկին ղեկավարներին՝ հարգանքի նշույլ իսկ չցուցաբերելով՝ եթե ոչ անձերի, ապա գոնե՝ ինստիտուտների նկատմամբ։

Փաշինյանի ու նրա սպասարկուների մոլուցքն այս հարցում ինքնամոռաց է ու կույր․ նրանք կանգ չեն առնում ոչ միայն իրենց հակառակորդ համարվող քաղաքական թիմերի առաջնորդների՝ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի ու Սերժ Սարգսյանի դեմ ամենակեղտոտ քարոզչական պայքարում, ինչը խիստ վերապահումներով կարելի էր աննորմալ, այդուհանդերձ, հասկանալի համարել, այլ նույնն անում են նաև Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի նկատմամբ, մարդու, ով իրապես եղել է նրանց մեծամասնության քաղաքական նշաձողը, իդեալն ու պաշտամունքի առարկան։

Խնդիրը տվյալ դեպքում  ոչ այնքան նախկին նախագահների անձերն են, որքան նրանց ներկայացրած ինստիտուտները, որոնց նկատմամբ գոնե տարրական հարգանքն ինստիտուցիոնալ հիշողության ու պետականության ավանդույթի անբաժանելի մասն է։

Բայց քանի որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի համար կարևորը ոչ թե պետությունն է, այլ իշխանությունը, նա պատրաստ է առնվազն խոսքի մակարդակում իր իշխանության հակառակորդների նկատմամբ գտնվել բազմապատիկ ավելի անողոք, քան, ասենք, Իլհամ Ալիևի կամ Էրդողանի մասին արտահայտվելիս։ Մինչդեռ առանց ինստիտուցիոնալ հիշողության ու պետականության ավանդույթների՝ որևէ երկիր չի կարող հեռանկար ունենալ։ Իսկ առանց հեղինակությունների ինստիտուտի՝ վերը նշված կառուցակարգերն ուղղակի գոյություն չունեն։

Հեղինակությունների դեմ պայքարը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի աշխարհայացքային ու հոգեբանական բարդույթների արտահայտությունն է։ Նա ցանկանում է, որ երկրում լինի միայն մեկ հեղինակություն, միայն մեկ հերոս, միայն մեկ մեծարանքի օբյեկտ, միայն մեկ իմաստուն, և այդ բոլորի կրողը լինի ինքը՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը։

Նա հետևողականորեն իրագործում է իր «և այդ մեկ մարդը դու ես» կարգախոսը՝ ոչնչացնելով բոլոր մյուսներին և փորձելով զբաղեցնել բոլոր հարցերում միակի ու անփոխարինելիի դերը։

Ըստ ամենայնի, դա նրա մոտ հասել է մտասևեռման աստիճանի, և միակի բարդույթն իրացնելու համար պատրաստ է ոչնչացնել առանց բացառության ամեն ինչ, այդ թվում՝ պետականությունից մնացած փշրանքները։ Իր քանդարարության մեջ վերջնական հաջողության հասնելու դեպքում նա կարող է հավակնել ևս մեկ միակի տիտղոսին՝ Հայաստանը կործանողի ամոթալի, այդուհանդերձ, բացառիկ ու եզակի կարգավիճակին»,-գրում է թերթը։
