Բայդենը ևս մեկ տարով երկարաձգել է հակասիրիական պատժամիջոցների ռեժիմը

ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը որոշում է ընդունել ևս մեկ տարով երկարաձգելու Սիրիայի նկատմամբ միակողմանի պատժամիջոցների ռեժիմը: Դա հետևում է այն ծանուցումից, որը մայիսի 6-ին տարածել է Սպիտակ տունը, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Խոսքը վերաբերում է տարբեր սահմանափակիչ միջոցներ ուժի մեջ պահելուն, որոնք Վաշինգտոնը հաջորդաբար սահմանել է Դամասկոսի դեմ 2004-ից մինչև 2012 թվականն ընկած ժամանակամիջոցում: Այդ սահմանափակումները, մասնավորապես, նախատեսում են որոշ ֆիզիկական և իրավական անձանց՝ ԱՄՆ-ի իրավասության ներքո գտնվող ակտիվների արգելափակում, ինչպես նաև Սիրիա որոշակի կատեգորիայի ամերիկյան ապրանքների և ծառայությունների արտահանման արգելք:
«Սիրիական վարչակագի գործողությունները (…) արտակարգ սպառնալիք են ներկայացնում ԱՄՆ-ի ազգային անվտանգության, արտաքին քաղաքականության և տնտեսության համար: Այդ առնչությամբ արտակարգ դրությունը, որը հայտարարվել է 2004 թվականի մայիսի 11-ին և (այդ կապակցությամբ ձեռնարկված) միջոցները (…) պետք է գործեն նաեւ 2021 թվականի մայիսի 11-ից հետո: Ուստի (…) ես մեկ տարով երկարաձգում եմ արտակարգ դրությունը, որը հայտարարվել է Սիրիայի կառավարության գործողությունների պատճառով»,- ասված փաստաթղթում:
