Վանաձոր համայնքի ավագանու հերթական նիստի ավարտին ավագանու «Լուսավոր Հայաստան» խմբակցության քարտուղար Անահիտ Կարապետյանը խոսեց մարզկենտրոնին մոտ գտնվող Քարաբերդ համայնքում ակտիվ շահագործվող ոսկու հանքի, այդտեղ տարվող աշխատանքների ընթացքում իրականացվող պայթյունների արդյունքում Վանաձոր հասնող փոշու ու կանաչ ամպերի, բնակիչներին հասցվող վնասների և շրջակա միջավայրի ախտոտման խնդրով:
Նա մասնավորապես հետաքրքրվեց, թե արդյո՞ք Վանաձորի քաղաքային իշխանությունները պատրաստվում են ինչ-որ ձևով նպաստել շրջակա միջավայրի պահպանմանն ու բնակիչների առողջությանը վնաս չհասցնելու գործընթացներին, ինչին ի պատասխան քաղաքապետ Մամիկոն Ասլանյանն ասաց, որ պայթեցումները վերջին մի քանի տարիներին միշտ էլ եղել են և անհրաժեշտություն կա ուսումնասիրելու ու հասկանալու դրանց ազդեցությունը։
Համայնքի ղեկավարը նշեց, որ առավել առարկայական և փաստավորված հիմնավորումների դեպքում պատրաստ է անդրադարձ կատարել թեմային և հասկանալ ինչպես կարող է ինքը ներգրավվել շրջակա միջավայրի պահպանման գործընթացին։
