«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ «Հայաստանի հանրապետական կուսակցությունը երեկ ԳՄ ձեւաչափով որոշեց մասնակցել հունիսի 20-ին կայանալիք արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրություննոերին, թեեւ մեծուփոքր ՀՀԿ-ները բացառում էին Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի վարչապետության պայմաններում ընտրությունների գնալը։ Իսկ ինչպե՞ս է ընթացել ԳՄ դռնփակ նիստը։«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ երեկ ՀՀԿ գործադիր մարմնի նիստի գրեթե ողջ ընթացքում խոսել է ՀՀԿ առաջնորդ Սերժ Սարգսյանը: Ներկաները տպավորություն են ստացել, որ Սարգսյանն արդեն որոշում կայացրած է ներկայացել նիստին։ Սարգսյանն ասել է, որ իրենք «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության հետ են մասնակցելու կայանալիք ԱԺ արտահերթ ընտրություններին, նշել է, որ ինքն արդեն բոլոր դետալները քննարկել է ապագա դաշնակից կուսակցության ղեկավար Արթուր Վանեցյանի հետ, ու պայմանավորվածություն ունեն, որ ՀՀԿ կարկառուն անդամները լինելու են դաշինքի ցուցակում: Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ ՀՀԿ-ն, միայնակ ընտրությունների գնալով, սխալ կաներ, ճիշտ տարբերակը Վանեցյանին միանալն է:

Մենք տեղեկացանք նաեւ, որ ՀՀԿ-ի դեմքերն այսօրվանից լծվելու են ձայներ բերելու գործին։ Դրանց թվում են ՀՀԿ-ական նախկին պատգամավորները` Արկադի Համբարձումյանը (Դերժավայի Արկադը), Արայիկ Գրիգորյանը (Ավշարի Արայիկը), Առաքել Մովսիսյանը (Շմայս) ու բոլոր նրանք, որոնք բոլոր ընտրությունների ժամանակ ՀՀԿ-ի համար ձայներ են բերել։ Ըստ մեր տեղեկությունների՝ ՀՀԿ-ում Սարգսյանի որոշումից հետո տրամադրությունների կտրուկ բարձրացում է նկատվել, որ ԱԺ վերադառնալու շանսեր են նշմարվում։ Ի դեպ, շատերին ասվել էր, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը ոչ մի ձեւով չի ցանկանում ընտրություններին մասնակցել եւ չի լինելու ցուցակում»։
