Հեղինակավոր World Press Photo մրցանակաբաշխության «Գլխավոր լուրեր» անվանակարգում լավագույնն է ճանաչվել Արցախյան պատերազմին նվիրված «Կորսված դրախտ» շարքը
CULTUREՀամաշխարհային World Press Photo լուսանկարչական մրցույթի «Գլխավոր լուրեր/ պատմություններ» (General News/Stories) անվանակարգում 2021 թվականին հաղթող է ճանաչվել «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի» գործակալության հատուկ թղթակից Վալերի Մելնիկովի շարքը՝ նվիրված Արցախյան պատերազմին:
Ինչպես ներկայացնում է գործակալությունը, «Կորսված դրախտ» (Paradise Lost) խորագրով ֆոտոշարքը, որը Մելնիկովը պատկերել է 2020 թվականի նոյեմբերին, առաջին տեղն է գրավել հեղինակավոր ֆոտոմրցույթում:
Հաղթողներին հայտարարել է մրցույթի կայքը: Հաղթողներ են հայտարարվել ևս 8 անվանակարգում:
Նշվում է, որ «Տարվա լավագույն լուսանկար» է ճանաչվել Բրազիլիայում համավակին նվիրված կադրը, որի հեղինակն է դանիացի Մադսոմ Նիսեմը: Լուսանկարում, որը ստացել է «Առաջին գրկախառնություն» անվանումը, պատկերված են Սան Պաուլոյի ծերանոցի 85-ամյա բնակիչ Ռոզան և նրան գրկող բուժքույրը:
World Press Photo խոշորագույն և ամենահեղինակավոր ամենամյա մրցանակաբաշխությունն է, որը հաճախ անվանում են լուսանկարչության ոլորտի «Օսկար»: Այս տարվա մրցույթին ներկայացվել է 74 470 լուսանկար՝ 4315 լուսանկարչից և 130 երկրից:
