«Ալեքը գյումրեցի էր։ Համալսարանն ավարտելուց հետո՝ 2019-ի ամռանը, զորակոչվել էր բանակ։ Մարտակերտի Ներքին Հորաթաղում էր ծառայում, հրթիռահրետանային հաշվարկող էր։
Պատերազմի առաջին օրերից նրանց դիվիզիոնը թեժ մարտեր է մղում սկզբում Կարմիրավան գյուղի մոտ, ապա տեղափոխվում Կարմիր շուկա-Շեխեր հատված, Կարմիր շուկան մաքրում թշնամուց ու գյուղը վերադարձնում մեր վերահսկողության տակ։
Հոկտեմբերի 31-ի առավոտյան, անսարք հրետանին վերանորոգման տանելիս ԱԹՍ-ի հարվածից Ալեքը ծանր վիրավորում է ստանում և նույն օրը մահանում հիվանդանոցում։

Ալեքի ընկերներից Գոռը պատմում է, որ մի անգամ դիրքերում արթանում ու տեսնում է, որ Ալեքը ինչ որ բան է գրում.
-Ալեքո ի՞նչ ես գրում։
-Հեչ ապ ջան, զոհված ազատամարտիկների անունները կգրեմ։
Գոռը ձգվում ա դեպի թուղթն ու կարդում՝ Շիրինյան Գոռ, Սիմոնյան Ալեք։
-Ի՜, էս մե՞ր անուններն ես գրում։
Ալեքը սկսում է բարձր ծիծաղել.
-Ախպեր ջան, քնած էիր, Խորենը զանգեց, ըսավ օր Ջալալն ըսել է՝ էն լավ տղեքիդ կսես իրանք իրանց ձեռքով իրանց անունները գրեն, որ «Արիության մեդալի» ներկայացնեմ։
Գոռը լռեց, միասին լռեցին. երկուսն էլ նույն բանն էին մտածում՝ արդյո՞ք իրենք կհասցնե՞ն ստանալ այդ մեդալները։
Գոռը ստացավ, Ալեքին շնորհվեց հետմահու...
Գյումրեցի Ալեքսան Սիմոնյանը զոհվեց՝ Հայրենիքին նվիրելով իր բազում անկատար երազանքներն ու իղձերը։ Զոհվեց՝ հավերժ մնալով 23 տարեկան»։
