Էդինբուրգի դուքս Ֆիլիպի հուղարկավորությունը տեղի կունենա հաջորդ շաբաթ՝ ապրիլի 17-ին: Ինչպես հայտնում է  BBC News-ը՝ վկայակոչելով Բուքինգհեմյան պալատին, հրաժեշտի արարողությունը տեղի կունենա Վինձոր ամրոցի Սուրբ Գեորգի մատուռում:

Միջոցառումը կմեկնարկի տեղի ժամանակով 15:00-ին (երևանյան՝ 18:00)՝ մեկ րոպե համազգային լռությամբ: Նշվում է, որ նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներն ու արարողությունը, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, իրականացվելու են արքայազն Ֆիլիպի կամքին համապատասխան և հաշվի առնելով կորոնավիրուսի համավարակը:

Հայտնի է, որ Սասեքսի դուքս Հարին կժամանի ԱՄՆ-ից և կմիավորվի թագավորական ընտանիքի անդամների հետ՝ ներկա լինելու հուղարկավորության արարողությանը:

Բուքինգհեմյան պալատի հաղորդագրության համաձայն՝ արարողությանը ներկա է լինելու միայն 30 մարդ՝ դուքսի երեխաները, թոռները և ընտանիքի այլ մտերիմ անդամներ: Նշվում է, որ արքայազն Հարիի կնոջ՝ Մեգան Մարքլի բժիշկը վերջինիս խորհուրդ է տվել չմեկնել հուղարկավորությանը: Հիշեցնենք, որ Սասեքսի դքսուհին հղի է իրենց երկրորդ երեխայով:

Այսօր ավելի վաղ թնդանոթային համազարկով ՄԻացյալ Թագավորության մի շարք քաղաքներում, ինչպես նաև ռազմածովային ուժերի բազաներում և բաց ծովում ոգեկոչել են Էդինբուրգի դուքսի հիշատակը:

Թագավորական ընտանիքի անդամներն արդեն այցելել են Էլիզաբեթ Երկրորդ թագուհուն Վինձորի ամրոցում:   

Էդինբուրգի դուքսը մահացել է ապրիլի 9-ին՝ 99 տարեկանում:
