Եթե ինչ-որ ֆորսմաժոռ չլինի ապա ընտրությունները անպայման լինելու են՝ այս մասին լրատվական ռադիոյի եթերում հայտարարել է Լուսավոր Հայաստան կուսակցության ղեկավար Էդմոն Մարուքյանը։  Անդրադառնալով այն հարցին, թե արդյոք կա որևէ  վտանգ, որ ընտրությունները չեն կայանա  պատգամավորը պատասխանել է․ «Գիտեք, ես նման վտանգ չեմ տեսնում, ինչ որ ֆորսմաժոռի հնարավորություն,  ֆորսմաժոռը մի բան է, որը չպլանավորված է  և եթե ինչ-որ ֆորսմաժոռ չլինի ապա ընտրությունները անպայման լինելու են, և ես  տեսնում եմ, որ լինելու են, բոլոր ուժերն էլ պատրաստվում են ընտրություններին, կան այդպիսի  լուրեր, որ հնարավոր է ընտրություններ չլինեն, բայց այսօր ստեղծվել է իշխանությանը ձեռնտու իրավիճակ և ինչո՞ւ նրանք պետք է ընտրություններ չանեն»։ Անդրադառնալով ընտրական օրենսգրքի փոփոխությանը  Էդմոն Մարուքյանը ասել է, որ իրենք  վատ են վերաբերում այդ փոփոխություններին․ «Իշխանութունը  այդ փոփոխություններով լուծեց մի քանի հարց՝ առաջինը, որ իրենք ուզում են հավաքել  շատ լոյալ, շատ հլու-հնազանդ  պատգամավորների թիմ, ովքեր որևէ պարագայում իրենց ֆրակցիայից  դուրս չեն գալու ինչ էլ որ լինի,  այսինքն թիմը թարմացնում են, և լոյալ մարդկանց են ուզում բերել, իսկ ռեյտինգային ընտրակարգով չեն կարող պլանավորել թե ում են բերում  քանի որ չգիտեն  թե այդ տարածքից ով կարող է ընտրվել, կընտրվի նա, ով որ այդ տարածքից շատ ձայն կհավաքի։ Երկրորդը այն է, որ ընտրությունների  մոտիվացիան են գցում, որ մասնակցության թիվը  նվազի, իսկ նվազ մասնակցության թվի մեջ իրենց ունեցած ադմինիստրատիվ ռեսուրսով տարած տոկոսով ձայները ավելի մեծ են քան մասնակցության մեծ թվի մեջ։ Մյուսը՝ չեն թողնում, որ որևէ ձևով նոր քաղաքական էլիտա ձևավորվի, որովհետև, օրինակ ռեյտինգային ընտրակարգով անցած ընտրությունների ժամանակ շուրջ 1500 մարդ մասնակցել է որպես թեկնածու իսկ այսօր փակ ցուցակներ են  և այդ թեկնածուներն էլի կլինեն, բայց նրանք  առանձին մասնակցող չեն  այդ ընտրություններին, և հետևաբար այդ էլիտան չի կարող ձևավորվել ժողովրդի կողմից այլ այդ էլիտան ձևավորվում է օրինակ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի կողմից, ինքն է որոշում։ Եվ ընդհանրապես տրամաբանությունն է խախտվում  տեսեք թե ինչ է տեղի ունենում՝  ժողովուրդը պետք է ընտրեր  պատգամավորներ, ովքեր պետք է ընտրեին վարչապետ, հիմա  չկա նման բան,  ընտրության արդյունքներով որոշվելու է, թե ով կլինի վարչապետ, իսկ վարչապետը կորոշի, թե ովքեր են պատգամավորները։ Իսկ պատգամավորները լինելու են այն առաջին օղակը, ովքեր մոտ են կանգնած ժողովրդին, ժողովուրդը ունի մատչելիություն  նրանց մոտ հարցեր բարձրացնելու։ Հիմա, երբ որ պատգամավորը պարտական լինի ժողովրդին և ոչ թե վարչապետին,  ապա նա որևէ առումով ժողովրդի  դարդով չի զբաղվելու  և ապրելու է վարչապետին դուր  գալու դարդով, որ հաջորդ ագամ էլ ընտրվեն։ Եվ Հայաստանում առաջին անգամ եղավ ընտրական օրենսգրքի փոփոխություն առանց ընդդիմության համաձայնության»։
