POLITICSԱյս պատերազմից կարելի էր խուսափել: Այս մասին РБК-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է Հայաստանի նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը՝ պատասխանելով այն հարցին, թե հնարավո՞ր էր խուսափել անցյալ տարվա Արցախյան պատերազմից:
«Սա այն մաթեմատիկական կատեգորիաներից է, երբ խոսքը «եթե»-ի մասին է, իսկ «եթե»-ն մաթեմատիկայում ռեկուրսիվ ֆունկցիա է, այն շատ բարդ է` եթե լիներ սա, իսկ եթե նա... Բայց իրականությունն այն է, որ ինձ թվում է՝ դա հնարավոր էր... Որովհետեւ 30 տարի, տարբեր ժամանակահատվածներում ես զբաղվել եմ դիվանագիտությամբ, հանդիպել եմ տարբեր երկրների ղեկավարների հետ... Ինձ թվում է, որ միշտ հնարավոր է գտնել այդպիսի խնդիրների լուծման ուղիներ առանց ռազմական գործողությունների: Ի վերջո, Ղարաբաղի դեպքում, Ղարաբաղյան առաջին պատերազմից հետո գոյություն ուներ մի կազմակերպություն, որը զբաղվում էր դրանով՝ ԵԱՀԿ ՄԽ-ն: Կար հաղորդակցման, երկխոսության մեխանիզմ եւ այլն: Բայց եթե նայեք մեր կողմից, խոսքը մեր սխալների մասին է, ապա մենք նորից հավատացինք նրան, ինչին ուզում էինք: Մեզ թվում էր, որ պատերազմն արդեն ավարտված է, հարցը արդեն լուծված էր: Իսկ այն հեռու էր լուծում ստանալուց: Մանավանդ, Ադրբեջանն անընդհատ խոսում էր ապագա պատերազմի մասին: Որոշակի քայլեր ձեռնարկելու՝ Ղարաբաղի պաշտպանունակությունը ամրապնդելու, ավելի ժամանակակից ռազմական ենթակառուցվածք ստեղծելու, ինչպես նաեւ Ղարաբաղը տնտեսապես ավելի արդյունավետ դարձնելու փոխարեն...
Մեկ այլ դիտողություն վերաբերում է ժամանակակից Հայաստանին: Ցավոք, Հայաստանը, որպես 21-րդ դարի երկիր, ինքն իրեն էր փնտրում... Այսինքն՝ մեկ մի բան էր փորձում, մեկ՝ այլ բան․․․ նախագահական ձեւը լավը չէ, եկեք փորձենք մեկ այլ բան... Բայց այս պայմանականորեն ասած դեմոկրատական մթնոլորտում հայտնվեց երկու Հայաստան, մեկը իրական Հայաստանն է, որի մասին մենք խոսում ենք, որն այսօր ճգնաժամի մեջ է, երկրորդը վիրտուալ է, այն հիմնված է նոր տեխնոլոգիաների վրա: Երկու Հայաստանները ոչ մի կապ չունեն միմյանց հետ:
Սա երկրորդ Հայաստանն է՝ սա հեռուստասերիալ է, այն չունի բարոյական սահմաններ, վարքագծի կանոններ: Նա այնքան հագեցած է: Խնդիրն այն է, որ այս երկրորդ Հայաստանը կապված է սփյուռքի հետ, որը վիրտուալ սխալ Հայաստան է տեսնում»:
