Իրանի իշխանություններն ուրանի հարստացման 20 տոկոս մակարդակի իջեցման չեն գնա, մինչև ԱՄՆ-ն չվերացնի Թեհրանի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցները: Մարտի 30-ին այդ մասին հաղորդել Է Press TV հեռուստաալիքը՝ վկայակոչելով իրանցի անանուն բարձարստիճան պաշտոնյայի, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

«Ուրանի 20-տոկոսանոց հարստացումը համապատասխանում Է միջուկային գործարքի 36-րդ պարագրաֆին և կդադարեցվի սոսկ այն դեպքում, եթե ԱՄՆ-ն վերացնի բոլոր պատժամիջոցները,- մեջբերում Է հեռուստաալիքը նրա խոսքը: Պաշտոնյան հավելել Է, որ «ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի վարչակազմը ժամանակ է կորցնում»: «Եթե նրանք առաջիկայում չեղյալ չհայտարարեն պատժամիջոցները, ապա Իրանը կանի հաջորդ քայլերը, որոնք կնշանակեն (Իրանի) պարտավորությունների հետագա կրճատում միջուկային գործարքի շրջանակում»,- նշել Է նա:

Մարտի 29-ին Politico թերթը հայտնել Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի վարչակազմը պատրաստվում Է ընթացիկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում Իրանի կառավարությանը հանձնել Գործողությունների համատեղ համապարփակ ծրագրի շուրջ առկա իրավիճակի լուծման նոր առաջարկություններ: Հրատարակությունը պարզաբանում Է, որ նախաձեռնությունը նախատեսում Է Իրանի նկատմամբ ԱՄՆ-ի պատժամիջոցների որոշակի մեղմացում՝ ի պատասխան Թեհրանի կողմից միջուկային ոլորտում գործունեության որոշ տեսակաների դադարեցման, ինչպիսիք են կատարելագործված գազային ցենտրիֆուգների օգտագործումը և մինչև 20 տոկոս ուրանի հարստացումը: Փետրվարի 26-ին Պետդեպարտամենտի մամուլի ծառայության ղեկավար Նեդ Փրայսը հայտարարել Է, որ, եթե Թեհրանը լիովին վերադառնա միջուկային գործարքի շրջանակում իր պարտավորություններին, ԱՄՆ-ն ևս նույնը կանի, իսկ այնուհետև կձգտեն գործարքի պարամետրերի ամրապնդման: Իր հերթին, մարտի 2-ին Իրանի կառավարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ալի Ռաբաիին ընդգծել Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի հետ երկխոսություն սկսելու համար Թեհրանը պետք Է համոզվի, որ Վաշինգտոնը կվերացնի պատժամիջոցները:
