Արցախի ՄԻՊ-ը հայտարարություն է տարածել Ադրբեջանի կողմից Մեխակավանի հայկական Զորավոր Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու ոչնչացման վերաբերյալ, որը ներկայացնում ենք ստորև.

«Բրիտանական «Բի-բի-սի» ալիքի պատրաստած տեսանյութը հստակ փաստագրում է Մեխակավանի հայկական Զորավոր Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու ոչնչացումը Ադրբեջանի կողմից:

Սա հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության նկատմամբ կիրառվող վանդալիզմի այն կարկառուն օրինակներից է, որի մասին մենք բարձրաձայնել ենք միշտ և հատկապես 2020 թվականի աշնանը Արցախի դեմ սանձազերծված ադրբեջանաթուրքական ագրեսիայի օրերից:

Զորավոր Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու ոչնչացումը, Շուշիի Ղազանչեցոց Սուրբ Ամենափրկիչ և Սուրբ Հովհաննես Մկրտիչ, Հադրութի շրջանի Ծակուռի գուղի Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցիների և ադրբեջանական վերահսկողության տակ հայտնված տարածքներում հայկական մշակութային կոթողների նկատմամբ իրականացված վանդալիզմն իրական և անառարկելի վտանգի տակ է դնում այդ տարածքներում հայկական բազմադարյա մշակույթի գոյությունը:

«Զինված ընդհարումների ժամանակ մշակութային արժեքների պաշտպանության մասին» 1954 թ. Հաագայի կոնվենցիան շեշտում է, որ յուրաքանչյուր ժողովրդի մշակութային արժեքներին հասցվող վնասը հավասարապես վերաբերում է ողջ մարդկությանը: Ուստի՝ նման պայմաններում անհասկանալի է միջազգային հանրության ոչ պատշաճ արձագանքը տեղի ունեցող հանցագործություններին:

Համոզված լինելով, որ մշակութային արժեքների պահպանության ու պաշտպանության հարցերն անմասն չեն կարող մնալ քաղաքակիրթ հասարակությունների իրավական օրակարգից, Պաշտպանը կրկին կոչ է անում միջազգային հանրությանը ձեռնարկել անհետաձգելի քայլեր Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ հայտնված տարածքներում հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության պաշտպանության ուղղությամբ»:
