LIFEFacebook-ը ձեռքի սարք է ներկայացրել մտքերը կարդալու համար եւ լրացված իրականության ստեղնաշար, որը հնարավորություն կտա օգտվողներին փոխարինել մկնիկը եւ ստեղնաշարն ապագա արտադրանքներում: Facebook-ի Reality Labs ստորաբաժանումը ցուցադրել է սարքի նախատիպերը, փոխանցում է CNBC-ն:
Ձեռքի սարքն ունակ է կարդալ նյարդաբանական ազդանշանները, որոնք օգտագործողի ուղեղից ձեռքերին են ուղարկվում: Տեսականորեն այն կարող է հաշվել այդ ազդակները՝ հասկանալու համար, թե ինչ է ուզում անել օգտվողը եւ վերարտադրել գործողությունը վիրտուալ կամ լրացված իրականության միջավայրում:
Facebook-ի հետազոտողները ցուցադրել են «ուժային» գործողություններ, որոնցում օգտագործողը կարող էր մատները սեղմել իրական կյանքում՝ լրացված իրականության մեջ վիրտուալ հեռավոր օբյեկտները պահելու եւ վերահսկելու համար:
Բացի այդ, ընկերությունն էլեկտրամիոգրաֆիայի ապարանջաններ է ներկայացրել, որոնք օգտվողները կարող են կրել ցանկացած մակերեւույթի վրա տպելու համար, կարծես տպում են ֆիզիկական ստեղնաշարի վրա: Չնայած ստեղնաշար չկա՝ EMG ապարանջանները կգրանցեն օգտատիրոջ մատների մտադրությունը եւ տառեր ու բառեր կգրեն:
