Ճակատագրական միջադեպ Դավիթ Տոնոյանի համար. «Հրապարակ»
POLITICS«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Պատերազմից հետո Դավիթ Տոնոյանին պաշտոնանկ անելու որոշումը հասունացել է դեռեւս պատերազմի կեսերին, բայց՝ բոլորովին այլ պատճառներով։ Մեզ պատմեցին, որ երբ հայկական կողմը հայտարարեց, որ խոցել է ադրբեջանական Գյանջայի օդանավակայանը, իսկ ավելի ուշ պարզվեց, որ բնակելի թաղամաս է թիրախավորվել, ու աղմուկ բարձրացավ, ռուսական ռազմական ղեկավարությունը վրդովվել է, որ, նախ, դա իրենց հետ չեն համաձայնեցրել, եւ երկրորդ՝ խաղաղ բնակչությանը խոցելը միջազգային հարթակներում դիտարկվել է որպես ագրեսորի քայլ, եւ ՌԴ իշխանությունները դադարեցրել են զենքի մատակարարումը։
Պատերազմի ամենաթեժ պահին զենքի մատակարարման դադարեցումը մեր ռազմավարական գործընկերոջ կողմից ծանր հարված է եղել, եւ միայն Դավիթ Տոնոյանի անձնական ջանքերի շնորհիվ են վերականգնվել այդ հարաբերությունները։ Տոնոյանը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել իր պաշտոնակից Շոյգուի հետ, եւ զենք-զինամթերքի մատակարարումը վերսկսվել է։
Սակայն այս միջադեպը Դավիթ Տոնոյանի համար դարձել է ճակատագրական, քանի որ այդ շրջանում ռուսական մամուլում հրապարակումներ եղան, որ եթե Փաշինյանը կատարի ՌԴ իշխանությունների պահանջը՝ հրաժարական տա եւ իշխանությունը փոխանցի Տոնոյանին, պատերազմը կդադարեցվի։ Այդ հրապարակումներից հետո Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Դավիթ Տոնոյանին սկսել է դիտել որպես լուրջ մրցակից եւ թիմին հրահանգել է թիրախավորել նրան։ Նաեւ դա է պատճառը, որ պատերազմի ժամանակ Պնախարարն ընդհատակ էր իջել»:
