Թաիլանդի հնագույն մայրաքաղաք Այութայայում այսօրվանից մեկնարկում է փղի օրը, որի նպատակն է երկիր բերել զբոսաշրջիկներին, որոնք 1 տարուց ավելի է՝ չեն ժամանել այստեղ՝ պայմանավորված կորոնավիրուսային համավարակով, գրում է Reuters-ը:
Փղի օրն ավանդական և ազգային արարողություն է, որն անցկացվում է Թաիլանդում ամեն տարի: Այս կենդանիները երկրի ողջ պատմության ընթացքում ազգային հպարտության և մշակութային ինքնության աղբյուր են, որոնք տարբեր ժամանակներում թաիլանդցիներին օգնել են իրենց աշխատանքում, օգտագործվել են որպես փոխադրամիջոց, ինչպես նաև «որպես զենք» ռազմի դաշտում հաղթանակ տանելու համար:
Տոնակատարությունը մեծ ժողովրդականություն է վայելում ինչպես Թաիլանդում, այնպես էլ ողջ աշխարհում: Ամեն տարի փղերին նվիրված այս խնջույքին մասնակցելու համար հազարավոր զբոսաշրջիկներ են այցելում այս երկիր:
Այնուամենայնիվ, 2020 թվականից ի վեր, պայմանավորված կորանավիրուսային համավարակով, զբոսաշրջիկների թիվն էապես պակասել է, որը բացասական անդրադարձ է ունեցել Հարավաերևելյան Ասիայում գտնվող երկրի տնտեսության վրա, որը մեծ մասամբ կախված է զբոսաշրջությունից:
Ըստ worldometers-ի տվյալների՝ Թաիլանդում մինչ օրս գրանցվել է կորոնավիրուսով հիվանդացության 26757 դեպք, որի հետևանքով մահացել է 86 մարդ:
