ՀՀ ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի հայտնի հայտարարությունից հետո իշխանությունը ուղիներ է փնտրում վերականգնելու վերահսկողությունը բանակի նկատմամբ, ինչն ավելի բարդէ դարձել նախագահիհայտնի որոշումից հետո։ Այդ, ինչպես նաև ընթացիկ մյուս իրադարձությունները, այդ թվում՝ ընդդիմության գործողություններն ու իշխանությունների հեռացման պահանջի ավելի ու ավելի մեծ հանրային ընդգրկումը, հանրային և արդեն նաև ամենից հզոր կառույցի գոնե հոգեբանական ճնշմանը դիմագրավելու մի վերջին շանս են թողնում իշխանությունների համար. ըստ այդմ, ցանկանում են ռեպրեսիվ վերջին փամփուշտները գործի դնել։ Այսպես, նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանի որոշումից հետո իշխանությունը ցանկանում է քրեական գործ հարուցել և պաշտոնանկ անել ոչ միայն ԳՇ պետին, այլ նաև նախագահին։ Սակայն այդ խնդրում պետք է լինելու մի մարդ, իսկ ավելի ստույգ՝ բարձր դատախազ, որը կարող է այդ գործը առաջ տանել։ Մեր աղբյուրի պնդմամբ, գլխավոր դատախազը «ձեռքերը լվացել է» և հայտնել է, որ Արմեն Սարգսյանի վրա գործ հարուցելը նախ՝ հիմքեր չունի, երկրորդ՝ այս ներքաղաքական իրավիճակի պարագայում էլ ավելի կգրգռի հասարակությանը։ Իշխանությունը, հիասթափվելով Դավթյանի դիրքորոշումից, անցել է մեկ այլ ծրագրով իր նպատակին հասնելու տարբերակին։ Մասնավորապես, ըստ նույն աղբյուրների, բանակցություններ են տարվում գլխավոր դատախազի տեղակալ Գևորգ Բաղդասարյանի հետ։ Բաղդասարյանի հետ բոլոր հնարավոր վայրերերում շփվում են տարբեր իշխանական գործիչներ՝ փորձելով համոզել, որ ինքը ինքնուրույն որոշում կայացնի Արմեն Սարգսյանի դեմ գործ հարուցել, իսկ եթե այդ տարբերակը աշխատի և նախագահին իմպիչմենտի ենթարկեն, հաջորդ քայլը կլինի Արթուր Դավթյանին անվստահություն հայտնելը, և արդեն նրա փոխարեն կընտրեն նույն Գևորգ Բաղդասարյանին։ Ի դեպ, ըստ տեղեկությունների, Գևորգ Բաղդասարյանին համոզելու համար նաև ասում են, որ եթե չանի դա, իշխանությունը փոխվելուց հետո միգուցե Արթուր Դավթյանը կարողանա պայմանավորվել ապագա իշխանավորների հետ, իսկ իրեն, մեկ է, չեն ներելու՝ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի գործը «ջանասիրաբար» տանելու համար։ Մեր աղբյուրը հայտնում է, որ Բաղդասարյանը դեռ որոշում չունի, մտորումների մեջ է, սակայն մտածելու երկար ժամանակ էլ չունի։
