ԱՄՆ գործող նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի վարչակազմը նախաձեռնել  է մի շարք քայլեր, որոնք կթուլացնեն ամերիկյան տնտեսությունը և առավելություն կտան Չինաստանին: Այս հայտարարությամբ շաբաթ օրը հանդես է եկել ԱՄՆ նախկին պետքարտուղար Մայքլ Պոմպեոն Օրլանդոյում (Ֆլորիդա) ԱՄՆ պահպանողական շրջանակների խորհրդաժողովում, գրում է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը:

Մեկնաբանելով Կանադայից Միացյալ Նահանգներ Keystone XL գազատարի շինարարությունը դադարեցնելու մասին նոր վարչակազմի որոշումը՝ Պոմպեոն նշել է, որ դեմոկրատները «ոչնչացրել են 10 հազար աշխատատեղ»: Նախկին պետքարտուղարի խոսքերով, ԱՄՆ նախագահի հատուկ բանագնաց Ջոն Քերին կարծում է, որ նավթամուղի հետ կապված աշխատանք չստացած ամերիկացիները «կգնան արևային մարտկոցներ պատրաստելու»: Պոմպեոն համոզմունք է հայտնել, որ դա տեղի չի ունենա:

«Կարող եք վստահ լինել, որ Չինաստանից եկող էժանագին արևային մարտկոցները կլցվեն Ամերիկա, ինչպես երբեք: Դա ոչ մի լավ բան չի բերի Միացյալ Նահանգներին»,- ասել է նախկին պետքարտուղարը:

Նա ընդգծել է, որ Դոնալդ Թրամփի նախկին վարչակազմը թույլ չէր տալիս Չինաստանին «աշխատատեղեր խլել» ամերիկացիներից՝ պնդելով «փոխադարձության սկզբունքի հիման վրա արդար առևտրի» անհրաժեշտությունը: «Երբեք մի մոռացեք, որ Չինաստանը մեզանից կախված է ավելի շատ, քան մենք նրանից»,-նշել է Պոմպեոն:

Մեկնաբանելով Բայդենի որոշումը՝ վերադարձնել Միացյալ Նահանգները Փարիզի կլիմայական համաձայնագրին, Պոմպեոն պնդել է, որ Չինաստանի ղեկավարությունը չափազանց ուրախ է այդ կապակցությամբ, իսկ «ամերիկացի աշխատողները պարտվել են»: Թրամփի վարչակազմը պնդում էր, որ համաձայնագիրը չափազանց ոչ շահավետ է ամերիկյան տնտեսության համար:
