Քիչ առաջ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինը հանդես եկավ հայտարարությամբ, որում ասվում է․
«Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինը, տեղեկանալով բարձրագույն հրամանատարական կազմի և դրան հաջորդած ՀՀ վարչապետի հայտարարություններին, խոր մտահոգությամբ հետևում է դրանց շուրջ ընթացող զարգացումներին։ Հետպատերազմյան ճգնաժամային այս իրավիճակում, երբ հայրենիքը դիմագրավում է քաղաքական, տնտեսական և հասարակական բազմաթիվ մարտահրավերների, մեղադրանքների և քաղաքական հաշվեհարդարների չընդհատվող կոչերը վտանգում են ազգային միաբանությունն ու անվտանգությունը։
