«2019 թ. կառավարությունը տարեսկզբի նիստերից մեկում անդրադարձավ  դպրոցների սեյսմակայունության խնդրին։ Այդ ժամանակ տարածքային կառավարման և ենթակառուցվածքների նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանն ասաց, թե կառավարության և Ասիական զարգացման բանկի միջև իրականացվող Սեյսմիկ անվտանգության բարելավման ծրագրի շրջանակում ներկայումս իրականացվում է 4 դպրոցի  ուժեղացման նախագծումը։ Նախատեսվում է սկսել նաև երկու դպրոցի նախագծային աշխատանքները։ Տեղեկացրեց նաև, թե ծրագրի պահանջներից է, որ 9 բալ ուժգնությամբ երկրաշարժի դեպքում շենքերը պետք է չքանդվեն, այս նպատակով նախագծերն անցնում են միջազգային փորձաքննություն։ Այդ ժամանակ միջազգային փորձագետը ուսումնասիրության հիմամբ 4 առաջարկ էր ներկայացրել, որոնք քննարկվել էին մեր Քաղշին կոմիտեի հետ։ Երկու կողմերի մոտեցումները տարբերվել էին։ Ինչևէ, այդ պահի՝ փետրվարի դրությամբ պարզ էր, որ ուսումնասիրված դպրոցներից 46-ն արդեն խնդրահարույց էին։

Նույն տարում, երկու ամիս անց՝ 2019 թ. ապրիլին դպրոցների վիճակի հետ կապված կրկին քննարկում եղավ և արձանագրվեց՝  400 դպրոց սեյսմակայունության առումով լրջագույն խնդիրներ ունեն։ Հարկ է տեղեկացնել, որ դեռ 2015 թ. կառավարության որոշում կար, որով հաստատվել էր սեյսմակայունության տեսակետից առավել վտանգավոր 377 դպրոցների ցանկը։ Այն կազմվել էր 1448 դպրոցներից։ Համապատասխան ծրագրից բխող միջոցառումների համաձայն պետք է հաստատվեր  ուժեղացվող և նոր կառուցվող դպրոցների 46 գերակա շենքերի ցանկը։ Այս 46 դպրոցների մասին էլ հենց խոսել էր կառավարությունը 2019 թ. փետրվարին ու ապրիլին։ Այս ծրագրի գործողություններն ու ժամկետները մի քանի անգամ խախտվել են։ Ինչու՛ է մեզ համար սա մնում մի խնդիր, որի մասին ցնցումից ցնցում ենք հիշում, և ո՛ր պարագայում կկարողանանք ասել, որ հաջողել ենք խնդրի լուծումը...»,-գրում է թերթը:
