Անգլիայի Քեմբրիջշիր կոմսության Փիթերբորո քաղաքում մի տղամարդ հին բազմոցի մեջ հայտնաբերել է 1969 թ. նամակ` ապագայի ճշգրիտ կանխատեսումներով: Այս մասին հայտնում է The Mirror- ը:
67-ամյա Փիթեր Բեքերտոնը հին բազմոցը վերանորոգելիս անցյալից մի ուղերձ է գտել: Նամակը գրվել է 1969 թվականի փետրվարի 23-ին 11-ամյա մի աղջկա կողմից, հավանաբար որպես տնային առաջադրանք: Դրանում նա պատկերացրել է, թե ինչպիսին կլինեն իր կյանքը և աշխարհն ապագայում:
Աշակերտուհին գրել է, որ տարիներ անց հեռախոսն էկրան կունենա և հնարավոր կլինի տեսնել զրուցակցին: «Գրեթե ինչպես հեռուստացուցում», - գրել է աղջիկը: Հեռուստացույցները, ըստ նրա կանխատեսումների, նույնպես կփոխվեն` փոքր արկղերից վերածվելով մեծ էկրանների: Նա նշել է, որ հնարավոր կլինի փոխել ալիքները բազկաթոռի վրա տեղակայված կոճակների միջոցով: Երեխան նաև կանխատեսել է, որ տները խելացի կլինեն, և դռները կոճակների միջոցով հեռակա կերպով կբացվեն:
