Թուրքիայի նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակ Իբրահիմ Քալընը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել ԱՄՆ նորընտիր նախագահի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանի հետ՝ տեղեկացնում է ermenihaber-ը:
Քալընի և Սալիվանի հեռախոսազրույցը Ջո Բայդենի նախագահ ընտրվելուց հետո Թուրքիայի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև բարձր մակարդակի առաջին շփումն է:
Կողմերը քննարկել են Թուրքիա-ԱՄՆ երկկողմ հարաբերությունները, ինչպես նաև մտքեր փոխանակել Սիրիայի, Լիբիայի, Արևելյան Միջերկրականի, Կիպրոսի, Աֆղանստանի և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հարցերի շուրջ:
Նրանք ակնկալում են, որ երկու դաշնակից երկրները այս նոր փուլում կհաստատեն ամուր, կայուն և կառուցողական հարաբերությունների մոդել:
Հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում համաձայնություն է ձեռք բերվել այնպիսի քայլեր ձեռնարկել, որոնք կնպաստեն ՆԱՏՕ-ի ամրապնդմանը, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանային և գլոբալ խաղաղության ու կայունության հաստատմանը:
ԱՄՆ նախագահի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով օգնական Ջեյք Սալիվանն ընդգծել է, որ Անկարայի կողմից Ռուսաստանից Ս-400 հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգերի գնումը խաթարում է ՆԱՏՕ-ի համախմբվածությունն ու արդյունավետությունը:
