Փաշինյանի համար դժգույն և դժբախտ էին նաև Սյունիքի բնակավայրերը, որոնք նա կիսեց իր կիրթ ընկեր Ալիևի հետ։ Պոպուլիզմի հարցում մրցակիցը չունեցող Փաշինյանը պետական բյուջեի հաշվին ժամանակ առ ժամանակ քայլած  պատգամավորներ, մանր ու միջին պաշտոնյաներ է գործուղում Սյունիք, որպեսզի ստուգի սահմանամերձ դարձած բնակավայրերի բնակիչների տրամադրությունները, թե որքան գումարի դիմաց են պատրաստ այլ համայնքներում սեփականություն ձեռք բերել։

Իրենց սեփականությունն ապաշնորհ իշխանության պատճառով կորցրած բնակիչներին տարբեր չափերի գումար է առաջարկվում, սակայն հասկանալով, որ բնակիչներին հողն է հետաքրքիր, և ոչ թե՝ փողը, գլխավոր դավաճանին զեկուցվում է, որ ոչ ոք չի պատրաստվում լքել իր գյուղը։

Մի քանի փորձերից հետո, հասկանալով իրավիճակի ողջ լրջությունը, այն, որ մարդկանց չի գայթակղում առաջարկվող գումարի չափը, վերջերս հայտնի ՊՈԱԿ-ի ներկայացուցիչները շտապ Սյունիքի մարզ են  գործուղվել, հայտարարել, որ տներ կկառուցվեն, սակայն ծրագրի մանրամասների, ժամկետների և այլ կարևոր հանգամանքների մասին՝ ոչ մի խոսք ու գործնական քայլ։

Զուտ ականջահաճո հայտարարությունը՝ տրամադրություն փոխելու համար, կրկին որևէ օգուտ չի տվել, ու նրանք վերադարձել են ձեռնունայն:

Թեև կառավարությունում սահմանամերձ գյուղերի տեսարաններին չլուսանկարված պաշտոնյա գրեթե չի մնացել, սակայն մինչ օրս պետական հսկայական միջոցների ծախսման արդյունքում, Սյունիքի մարզի որևէ բնակավայրի, որևէ բնակչի ամենատարրական խնդիրն անգամ չի լուծվել, և մարզում իշխանության նկատմամբ հիասթափությունն ու անգործությունը նոր խնդիրներ են ստեղծում մարզում զրոյին ձգտող վարկանիշ ունեցող իշխանության համար։

168.am-ին հասած տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝  Փաշինյանը Սյունիքում իրավիճակ փոխելու, խորացող ճգնաժամի դեմն առնելու համար այս անգամ որոշել է մարզ գործուղել Սուրեն Պապիկյանին և Տիգրան Ավինյանին։

Ըստ ամենայնի, սակայն, «Ով էնպիսի սուտ ասի, որ ես ասեմ՝ սուտ է» կարգախոսով Սյունիք գործուղվող  Փաշինյանի թիմին բավական դժվար կլինի Սյունիքում այս անգամ ևս հանձնել ստի դետեկտորի թեստը։
