ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ նախագահի պաշտոնը պահելու համար «դիվային պայքար» կմղի, եւ հանրապետական կոնգրեսականներին է դիմել նախագահական ընտրություններում իր պարտությունն անվավեր ճանաչելու կոչով, երբ նրանք այս շաբաթ հավաքվեն հաստատելու Ընտրիչների կոլեգիայի քվեարկության արդյունքները, հայտնում է Associated Press-ը: 

«Ջո Բայդենի ընտրողները չեն վերցնի այս Սպիտակ տունը»,- բղավել է Թրամփը Ջորջիա նահանգում հանրահավաքի ժամանակ:
ԱՄՆ նախագահն ավելի վաղ հայտարարել էր, որ Ջորջիայում իր հանրահավաքի նպատակն է Սենատի հանրապետական թեկնածուներին աջակցության ցուցաբերումը, սակայն իր ամբողջ ելույթի ժամանակ նա գանգատվել է ընտրություններում իր պարտությունից՝ պնդելով, որ մեծ տարբերությամբ հաղթել է:

Ջորջիայում ելույթի ժամանակ Դոնալդ Թրամփը նաեւ փոխնախագահ Մայք Փենսի աջակցության հույս է հայտնել Ընտրիչների Կոլեգիայի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ, որոնք հավաքվելու են նախագահական ընտրությունների արդյունքները հաստատելու համար:
«Ես հույս ունեմ, որ մեր ականավոր փոխնախագահը կմիանա մեզ: Նա հոյակապ տղա է: Իհարկե, եթե չմիանա, նա ինձ այդքան էլ դուր չի գա... Ո՛չ, Մայքը հոյակապ տղա է»,- ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը:

Հանրապետական կուսակցության անդամ Քելի Լոֆլերը, որը Սենատում տեղի համար պայքարում է դեմոկրատ Ռաֆայել Վարնոկի դեմ, Ջորջիայում հանրահավաքի ժամանակ հայտարարել է, որ կմիանա Բայդենի հաղթանակի դեմ պաշտոնապես առարկող սենատորներին: Մեկ ուրիշ հանրապետական, որը փորձում է վերընտրվել, Դեւիդ Պերդյուն, որն առաջադրվել է դեմոկրատ Ջոն Օսոնի հետ, ձայնի իրավունք չի ունենա:

Թրամփը բազմիցս կրկնել է ընտրությունները կեղծելու մասին իր հայտարարությունները, որոնք մերժել են պաշտոնատար անձինք՝ ինչպես հանրապետականեր, այնպես էլ դեմոկրատներ, եւ դատարանները՝ ընդհուպ մինչեւ ԱՄՆ Գերագույն դատարանը: Նախկին գլխավոր դատախազ Ուիլյամ Բարն իր հերթին նույնպես հայտարարել է, որ կեղծումների ոչ մի ապացույց չկա, որոնք կկարողանային ընտրությունների արդյունքները փոխել:
