Իրավապաշտպան Կարապետ Պողոսյանն ահազանգում է՝ նոյեմբերի 9-ից հետո Խծաբերդի տարածքից գերի ընկած Շիրակի մարզի 62 զինվորների Հայաստան չվերադարձնելու ռիսկը շատ մեծ է, որովհետև մի կողմից՝ Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Ալիևը հայտարարում է, որ նրանք ռազմագերիներ չեն, մյուս կողմից՝ ՀՀ իշխանության ղեկավարը որևէ բառով չի պատասխանում Ալիևին, և միայն Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանն է, որ զբաղվում է գերիների խնդրով։

168 TV-ի «Ռեվյու» հաղորդաշարի եթերում ասաց իրավապաշտպանը՝ նշելով, որ դեկտեմբերի 30-ին Շիրակի մարզից գերի ընկած զինվորների հարազատներին անաղմուկ տեղափոխել են Կառավարություն ու ծնողներին հորդորել սպասել մինչև հունվարի 11-ը, փորձել նրանց Հայաստան չվերադարձնելու ռիսկը նվազեցնել, իսկ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն էլ ծնողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ ասել է, թե մինչև հունվարի 11-ը ծնողներին որևէ ասելիք չունի։

«Բնականաբար, այդ մանիպուլյացիոն հնարքով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը փորձել է մարդկանց 11 օր լռեցնել, և ես չեմ բացառում, որ Փաշինյանը հունվարի 11-ին գնա Մոսկվա՝ «տարածքներ՝ գերիների դիմաց»-ի համար։ Որ նա կգնա տարածքներ գերիների հետ փոխանակելու տարբերակին, ես հավատում եմ, որովհետև ինձ համար տարօրինակ է այս 62 զինվորի գերի ընկնելու հանգամանքը. Իրավիճակը եղել է այսպիսին. պատերազմի ավարտից հետո Հին Շեների և Խծաբերդի դիրքերը պահող հայ զինվորներին մոտեցել են ադրբեջանցիներ և պահանջ ներկայացրել՝ թողնել դիրքերը և հեռանալ։ Մեր զինվորները կապ են հաստատել իրենց վերադասի հետ, որտեղից ասել են՝ սպասե՛ք։

Հին Շեների հատվածում մեր զինվորները չեն համաձայնել զենքը դնել, բանակցել են ռուսական կողմի հետ, իսկ Խծաբերդում իրավիճակն այլ է եղել, որովհետև հայկական կողմից ռադիոկապով հրաման է տրվել Խծաբերդում եղած զինվորներին՝ դնել զենքերը և դուրս գալ հումանիտար միջանցքով։ Զենքը վայր դնելուց հետո ճանապարհ են դուրս եկել տղաները և հայտնվել գերու կարգավիճակում։

Տղաներից շատերին անձամբ եմ ճանաչում, եթե նրանց մոտ զենք լիներ, նրանք գերի չէին ընկնի՝ կա՛մ կկռվեին, կա՛մ իրենց կվնասեին։ Նրանք գերի են ընկել, որովհետև զինաթափված են եղել։ Այստեղ տեղի է ունեցել գործողություն, ու պետական որևէ կառույցի կողմից որևէ արձագանք մինչև հիմա չկա, հետևաբար՝ այստեղ կա՛մ կա անտարբերություն, կա՛մ դիտավորություն, իսկ երկու դեպքում էլ պետք է Դատախազությունը գործ հարուցեր, ինչը ևս արված չէ մինչև հիմա։ Սա նշանակում է, որ հերթական բանավոր դավադրությամբ, նույնն է՝ բանավոր պայմանավորվածությամբ հանձնել է Շիրակի մարզից 62 զինվորի։ Սա դավադրություն էր, որի նպատակն էր կամ տարածքները գերիների դիմաց փոխանակել, կա՛մ հերթական քայլն էր, որ ազգամիջյան բախումներ առաջանան, որովհետև նույն ժամանակահատվածում Սյունիքում Ադրբեջանին տրվեցին դիրքեր, և այդ նույն ժամանակահատվածում Շիրակի մարզի այդ 62 քաղաքացիները գերի ընկան, և հիմա չի բացառվում, որ նույն հանրապետության մեջ երկու մարզերից մեկից՝ Շիրակից ասեն՝ ոչինչ, տվեք Սյունիքի մարզից տարածք, բայց մեր տղաներին հետ բերեք. Այսինքն՝ 62 գերուն Սյունիքի տարածքի դիմաց փոխանակելուն Փաշինյանը կարող է գնալ»,- ասաց իրավապաշտպան Կարապետ Պողոսյանը։
