Էստոնիայի ԱԳ նախարարությունից հայտարարել են, որ սկսվող տարում Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերություններում զգալի փոփոխություններ չեն ակնկալում: Կիրակի այսպիսի դիրքորոշում էր հայտնել արտաքին քաղաքականության գերատեսչության ղեկավար Ուրմաս Ռեյնսալուն, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
«Այս տարի նկատելի՞ է արդյոք ինչ-որ շրջադարձ (Ռուսաստանի հետ) մեր հարաբերություններում՝ հարցի պատասխանը բացասական է,- ասել է նա Kuku ռադիոկայանի եթերում: - Եվ ես դա դրական եմ համարում, այլ ոչ բացասական»:
Կիրակի ավելի վաղ Պետդումայի միջազգային գործերով կոմիտեի ղեկավար Լեոնիդ Սլուցկին Մոսկվայում ՏԱՍՍ-ի հետ զրույցում հայտարարել էր, որ Ռիյգիկոգուի (Էստոնիայի միապալատ խորհրդարանի) խոսնակ Հեննա Պիլուաասի արտահայտությունները 1920 թվականի Տարտուի խաղաղ պայմանագրի իբր ուժը կորցրած չլինելու մասին միայն արգելակում են ռուս-էստոնական սահմանային համաձայնագրի վավերացումը եւ երկու երկրների հարաբերություններում լրացուցիչ լարվածություն ստեղծում: Պիլուաասը հերթական անգամ այդպիսի կարծիք էր հայտնել ուրբաթ ETV+ հեռուստաալիքի եթերում իր ուղերձի ժամանակ:
Սլուցկին հավելել էր, որ սահմանային պայմանագիրը մինչեւ հիմա երկու պետությունների խորհրդարաններում քննարկման փուլում է: «Պայմանավորվածություն էր եղել այն միաժամանակ վավերացնելու մասին, բայց էստոնացի քաղաքական գործիչների հենց ռուսատյացության գիծն է արգելակել ամբողջ գործընթացը»,- նշել էր նա:
