Իրանի և Իրաքի հազարավոր բնակիչներ մասնակցում են Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսի (ԻՀՊԿ) գեներալ Ղասեմ Սոլեյմանիի մահվան տարելիցին նվիրված ցույցերին:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ Թեհրանում ակցիայի մասնակիցները կրում են գեներալի պաստառներն ու դիմանկարները: Նրա հետ միասին ցուցարարները հիշատակում են Իրաքի շիա աշխարհազորի հրամանատարի տեղակալ Աբու Մահդի ալ Մուհանդիսին, որը սպանվել էր նույն օրը: Քաղաքային իշխանությունները տեղադրել են մի շարք ինստալյացիաներ, որոնք պատկերում են մարդատար ավտոմեքենան, որում հրթիռ է հայտնվում։ Դեպքի վայրից տեսանյութ է հրապարակել Press TV հեռուստաալիքը։

Ինչպես հաղորդում Է Associated Press գործակալությունը, Բաղդադում երթը կազմակերպվել է մայրուղում, որտեղ Սոլեյմանիին մեկ տարի առաջ հրթիռային հարվածով սպանել էին ամերիկացի զինվորականները՝ հատուկ գործողության ընթացքում: Ճանապարհի եզրերին փակցվել են հանգուցյալի նկարներով պաստառներ, ինչպես նաև կանգնեցվել են երթի մասնակիցներին ուտելիք և ընպելիքներ առաջարկող վրաններ: Անմիջապես սպանության վայրում մոմեր են վառվել։

Սոլեյմանին եղել է ԻՀՊԿ-ի հատուկ ստորաբաժանման հրամանատարը։ Ի պատասխան  Սոլեյմանիի սպանության՝ Իրանը գնդակոծել է Իրաքում տեղակայված ավիաբազան և ռազմական օբյեկտը, որտեղ գտնվել են ամերիկացի զինծառայողներ։
