Փոմպեոն կարող է Կուբան ներառել ահաբեկչության հովանավորների ամերիկյան ցանկում
INTERNATIONAL NEWSԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Մայքլ Փոմպեոն դիտարկում է Կուբան այն պետությունների ցանկ ներառելու հնարավորությունը, որոնք, Վաշինգտոնի կարծիքով, օժանդակում են միջազգային ահաբեկչական խմբավորումներին: Դեկտեմբերի 29-ին այդ մասին հայտնել է The New York Times թերթը:
Թերթի աղբյուրների խոսքով՝ «Պետդեպարտամենտի աշխատակիցները պատարաստել են առաջարկություն» Կուբան այդ ցանկում ներառելու մասին: Փոմպեոն «պետք է որոշի՝ հաստատի արդյոք պլանը»:
Առայժմ պարզորոշություն չկա, թե նա ինչպես կվարվի: Հրատարակությունն արձանագրում է, որ այդ քայլը «կհանգեցնի ԱՄՆ-ի պատժամիջոցների ավտոմատ սահմանում Կուբայի իշխանությունների դեմ» եւ Միացյալ Նանհանգների ընտրված նախագահ Ջոզեֆ Բայդենի համար կդժվարացնի հանրապետության հետ հարաբերությունների հնարավոր նորմալացումը: Դեմոկրատի պաշտոնակալությունը նշանակված է 2021 թվականի հունվարի 20-ին: Բայդենը պաշտոնն ստանձնելուց հետո կարող է Կուբան հանել հիշյալ ցանկից, սակայն դրանից առաջ պետք է տեղի ունենա այդ ցանկի վերանայման ընթացակարգը: Թերթի գնահատմամբ՝ «այդ գործընթացը կարող է զբաղեցնել մի քանի ամիս»:
Սպիտակ տանը եւ Պետդեպարտամենտում չեն հավաստել հրապարակման մեջ բերված պնդումները: Ներկայումս Վաշինգտոնը կարծում Է, որ ահաբեկչության հովանավոր պետությունների ցանկի մեջ են մտնում Իրանը, ԿԺԴՀ-ն եւ Սիրիան: Միացյալ Նահանգները Կուբայի հետ դիվանագիտական կապերը խզել Է 1961 թվականին ի պատասխան կղզում ամերիկյան սեփականության ազգայնացման:
Դրանից հետո Վաշինգտոնը հայտարարել է երկրի նկատմամբ առեւտրա-տնտեսական բռնարգելք սահմանելու մասին: 2014 թվականի դեկտեմբերին Բարաք Օբաման, որն այն ժամանակ զբաղեցնում է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնը, խոստովանել է, որ Հավանայի նկատմամբ Վաշինգտոնի նախկին քաղաքականությունը չի գործում, եւ հայտարարել է երկկողմ կապերի նորմալացման եւ հակակուբայական պատժամիջոցների մեղմացման տանող շարժում սկսելու մասին:
2015 թվականին Օբամայի վարչակազմը հայտարարել է Կուբան ահաբեկչության հովանավոր պետությունների ցանկից հանելու մասին: Երկու երկրների մերձեցումը դադարել է այն բանից հետո, երբ 2017 թվականի հունվարին ԱՄՆ-ը գլխավորեց հանրապետական Դոնալդ Թրամփը: Նա խստացրեց հանրապետություն հայրենակիցների ուղեւորությունների կանոնները եւ սահմանեց այն կազմակերպությունների հետ գործարարութույն վարելու արգելք, որոնք վերահսկում են կուբացի զինվորականները: Բայդենը քննադատել է Հավանայի նկատմամբ Թրամփի քաղաքական գիծը, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
