Թեհրանը եւ Բաքուն պայմանավորվել են հիդրոէլեկտրակայան կառուցել Խոդաֆարինի ամբարտակում: Այս մասին հայտարարել է ԻԻՀ էներգետիկայի նախարար Ռեզա Արդաքանյանը, հաղորդում է Mehr-ը:
«20 տարի առաջ մեր սկսած նախագծերից մեկն է Խոդաֆարինի ամբարտակը Արաքս գետի սահմանին: Այդ ամբարտակը կարեւոր է: Բացի գյուղատնտեսական հողերի ոռոգումից, 280 ՄՎտ ընդհանուր հզորությամբ երկու հիդրոէլեկտրակայանները կարող են էլեկտրաէներգիա արտադրել»,-ասել է նա:
Նրա խոսքով՝ 4 տարի առաջ Իրանի եւ Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունների միջեւ ամբարտակի կառուցման ավարտի մասին համաձայնագիր է կնքվել, որին հավանություն է տվել նաեւ Իրանի խորհրդարանը:
Նշելով, որ Թեհրանի եւ Բաքվի միջեւ որոշ տարաձայնություններ կան Խոդաֆարինի ամբարտակում ՀԷԿ ֆինանսական հաշվարկների առնչությամբ, նախարարն ասել է. «Երեկ մենք այդ հարցով պայմանավորվել ենք Ադրբեջանի փոխվարչապետ Շահին Մոստաֆաեւի հետ, եւ մենք անհապաղ կսկսենք Խոդաֆարինի ամբարտակում հիդրոէլեկտրակայանի կառուցումը»:
