svpressa.ru-ն «Ինչու է Փաշինյանը հարվածի տակ դնում ռուս խաղաղապահներին» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ վերջին օրերին շատ անհասկանալի բաներ են տեղի ունենում Նիկոլ Փաշինյան գործչի շուրջ: Նրա քաղաքական գիծը, կարծես թե, սկսում է հակասել Ռուսաստանի շահերին: Հայաստանում ևս նրան ուղղված բազմաթիվ հարցեր կան: Գլխավորն այն է, որ ընդունելով իր պատասխանատվությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի պատերազմում կրած պարտության համար՝ նա հրաժարվում է պաշտոնաթող լինել: Ռուսաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հերքել է Փաշինյանի այն պնդումը, թե ադրբեջանական զինուժը շրջապատել է ռուս խաղաղապահներին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հադրութի շրջանում:

Ավելի վաղ Փաշինյանը պնդում էր, որ ճգնաժամային իրավիճակ է ստեղծվել Հին Թաղեր և Խծաբերդ գյուղերում: «Տեղանքի պատճառով կան հաղորդակցման խնդիրներ ... Ավելին, այդ խնդիրներն ունեն նաև ռուս խաղաղապահները, և այնտեղ առկա է որոշակի ճգնաժամային իրավիճակ», նշել էր նա: Իրավիճակը մեկնաբանել է վերջերս Ղարաբաղից վերադարձած ռազմական թղթակից Դմիտրի Իվանովը. «Պետք է վստահել ոչ թե Փաշինյանին, որը շուտով չի լինի իշխանության, այլ Ռուսաստանի ՊՆ-ին»։ Բնութագրական է, որ «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանին տված Փաշինյանի հարցազրույցից մի քանի ժամ անց ԱՄՆ-ի Պետդեպարտամենտը հայտարարել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում Ռուսաստանի մեղքով «ապակայունացման վտանգի» մասին:

Ըստ նրանց, Ռուսաստանի ներկայությունը մարտահրավեր է բոլոր պետություններին և կողմերին, որոնք մասնակցում են տարածաշրջանում տեղի ունեցող իրադարձություններին: Ռուսական կողմից պատասխանը եղել է դիվանագիտական: «Ռուսաստանի միջամտության շնորհիվ իրավիճակը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում կայունացել է: Իսկ ԱՄՆ-ին խաղաղություն պետք չէ այդ տարածաշրջանում: Նրան պետք է թեժ կետ: Նրան պետք չէր քայքայել ԽՍՀՄ-ը, որ հետո հետխորհրդային տարածքում խաղաղություն լինի», - ասել է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության պաշտպանության և անվտանգության խորհրդի հանձնաժողովի անդամ Ֆրանց Կլինցևիչը:
