ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է․ 
 
«Մեր հարավային դարպասի գլխին անարգել կախվում է ոչ միայն թուրք-ադրբեջանական ռազմական բռունցքը, այլեւ Սյունիքն ենթակառուցվածքներով խեղդելու եւ Հայաստանից պոկելու վտանգը, ինչի համար նպաստավոր հիմքեր են ստեղծված կապիտուլյացիոն հայտարարության 9-րդ կետով։
Վաղն, օրինակ, նախատեսվում է Թուրքիայի եւ Ադրբեջանի էնդրգետիկայի նախարարությունների միջեւ Իգդիր-Նախիջեւան գազատարի կառուցման մասին հուշագրի ստորագրումը։
 
Նախիջեւանն այս պահին գազը ստանում է Իրանից եւ գազամատակարարման խնդիր չունի։ Նախատեսվող նոր գացամուղն ունենալու է 160 կմ երկարություն՝ 500 միլիոն խորանարդ մետր գազի հայտագրված հզորությամբ։
 
Նախիջեւանի առկա բնակչությունն ու տնտեսությունը այդքան մեծ ծավալի կապույտ վառելիքի նոր կարիք չունի եւ դրա սոցիալ-տնտեսական հիմնավորումները ընդամենը ծխաշղարշ են։
 
Ակնհայտ է, որ տվյալ ծրագիրը ունի այլ տեսանելի նպատակ՝ Սյունիքով ենթադրվող նոր կոմունիկացիոն, արդեն «թյուրքական դարպաս» ստացած միջանցքով Ադրբեջանի գազատար համակարգին միանալն է։
 
Իդեպ, նման ծրագրի փափագ Ադրբեջանն ու Թուրքիան վաղուց են ունեցել, հարցն ավելի առարկայական քննարկվել է, ուշադիր, այս տարի փետրվարի 25-ին Էրդողանի՝ Բաքու կատարած այցի շրջանակներում։
 
Եթե սրան գումարենք նաեւ Կարս-Նախիջեւան նախագծվող երկաթգիծը, ապա ակնհայտ է, որ Հայաստանն օր առաջ պետք է նոր բանակցողով հանդես գա, որպեսզի հնարավորինս չեզոքացնի նոյեմբերի 9-ին ստորագրված խայտառակ փաստաթղթի նաեւ 9-րդ կետը»։
