«Նոյեմբերի 9-ին ստորագրված եռակողմ հայտարարությամբ Ակնա (Աղդամ) քաղա­քի ու հարակից տարածքների կորստով Ասկերան քաղաքը հայտնվել է սահմանից 200- 250 մետր հեռավորության վրա: Իսկ քաղաքի կենտրոնը հազիվ մեկ կիլոմետր հեռա­վորության վրա է գտնվում ադրբեջանցիներից: Մինչդեռ արցախցիները շարունակում են վերադառնալ իրենց տներ: Այսպիսով՝ ինչ իրավիճակ է Ասկերանում այս օրերին, փորձեցինք հետաքրքրվել քաղաքապետ Հայկ Շամիրյանից, ով փաստեց.

-Պատերազմը, կարելի է ասել, Ասկերանի կողքով անցավ, լուրջ վնասներ, ըստ էության, Ասկերանը չի կրել: Մինչ պատերազմը, Ասկերանի շրջանում ապրում էր մո­տավոր 18 հազարից մի քիչ ավելի բնակչու­թյուն: Պատերազմի օրերին բնակչության մետ 50 տոկոսը տեղափոխվել է տարբեր ուղղություններով՝ հիմնականում Հայաս­տանի Հանրապետություն: Բայց արդեն կամաց-կամաց մարդիկ հետ են վերադառնում, ուղղակի որոշակի մտահոգություններ կան սահմանային իրավիճակի հետ կապված:

- Կմանրամասնե՞ք:

- Դե, մեկ կիլոմետր էլ չկա, որ հեռու ենք Ադրբեջանի սահմանից: Էս համաձայնագրի շրջանակում ավելի ենք մոտեցել սահմանին, դարձել ենք սահմանային գո­տի: Ընդհանուր, Ասկերանի շրջանից ութ համայնք հանձնվել է Ադրբեջանին:

Հիմնական մեր գերխնդիրն այսօր տարհանված բնակիչներին բնակության վայրով, սնունդով ապահովելն է:

- Պարո՛ն Շամիրյան, ասկերանցիներն ահազանգում են, որ ադրբեջանցիներն անարգել ելումուտ են անում սահմանային բնակավայրեր, անգամ փորձում ծաղրել երիտասարդ աղջիկներին, ծերերին:

- Անկեղծ ասած, նման դեպքերի ականատես չեմ եղել, ավելի շուտ՝ տե­ղյակ չեմ: Կարող եմ ասել, որ Ասկերանից շատ մոտ հեռավորության վրա երևում է ադրբեջանցիների շարժը: Իրենք էլ պարբե­րաբար սահմանազատումներ անելու պատրվակով ելումուտ են անում: Մեր գյու­ղացիներից շատերը կարողանում են հետ­ները լեզու գտնել, ավելին՝ բանակցություն­ների միջոցով մտնել և արդեն հակառա­կորդին հանձնված տարածքներից իրենց բերքը, պաշարները հանել: Մարդ կա թող­նում է, մարդ կա՝ չէ: Այ, էս վիճակն է:

-Ասում են՝ ադրբեջանցիները առևտուր են անում Ասկերանի գյուղերի հետ:

-Այո, կա նման բան: Ե՛վ ադրբեջանցի­ները, և՛ խաղաղապահները մտնում են, մեր խանութներից առևտուր անում: Արդեն սո­վորական է դարձել:

-Սովորակա՞ն:

-Մտավախություն, իհարկե, կա, ուղղա­կի էն մարդիկ, ովքեր չեն տեսել թուրքի վրեժխնդիր աչքերը, չեն վախենում: Բայց տարիքով մեծերը, ովքեր պատկերացնում են, թե ով է թուրքը, ինչ կարա անի, ինչ վնասներ կարող է տալ, այ, էդ մարդիկ մտավախություն, իհարկե, ունեն»,-գրում է թերթը:
