ՍՄՆ-ի առեւտրի նախարար Ուիլբեր Ռոսսը կարծում է, որ Չինաստանն իրենից ներկայացնում է հիմնական ռազմական եւ տնտեսական սպառնալիքն Ասիայի տարածաշրջանում: Այս կարծիքը նա հայտնել է դեկտեմբերի 8-ին Սինգապուրում անցկացվող ասիական համաժողովի բացմանը, որը կամակերպել է Մայքլ Միլքենի Տնտեսագիտական ինստիտուտը, հայտնել է CNBC հեռուստաալիքը:

Ինչպես պնդել է ԱՄՆ-ի առեւտրի նախարարության ղեկավարը, Չինաստանը մինչ օրս չի պահպանում միջազգային առեւտրի շատ կանոններ, ինչի պատճառով ԱՄՆ-ը հարկադրված է պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել նրա նկատմամբ: Նրա խոսքով՝ ՉԺՀ-ին է բաժին ընկնում այն 539 որոշումներից է 210-ը, որոնք Միացյալ Նահանգներն ընդունել է դեմպինգային մատակարարումների հակազդման նպատակով:

Չինացի արտադրողները, ասել է նախարարը, «զգալի տեղ» են զբաղեցնում նաեւ այն ընկերությունների ամերիկյան ցանկում, որոնց հետ փոխգործակցությունը սահմանափակված է ԱՄՆ-ից մատակարարների համար՝ ազգային անվտանգության նկատառումներով: Չինաստանը նախկինի պես մնում է խոշորագույն պոտենցիալ շուկան եւ հիմնական ռազմական եւ տնտեսական սպառնալքը տարածաշրջանում»,- հայտարարել է Ռոսս-ը համաժողվում:

Նա վստահություն է հայտնել, որ Տարածաշրջանային համակողմանի տնտեսական գործընկերության մասին համաձայնագիրը, որն ստորագրել են Չինաստանը եւ Ասիա-խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի 14 այլ երկրներ, չի լուծի «առեւտրի ոլորտում այնպիսի «առավել կարեւոր հարցեր», ինչպիսիք են պետական ընկերությունների համար մատակարարումների դրամատրումը, շուկաների հավասար մուտքի ապահովումը եւ ինտելեկտուալ իրավունքների խախտումը, բայց նշել է այն ջանքերի կարեւորությունը, որոնք նպատակամիտված են տարածաշրջանային առեւտրական արգելքների վերացմանը, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
