18-ամյա զոհված զինծառայող Էդգար Աղաբաբյանին մայրը միակ որդուն մեծ դժվարությամբ միայնակ մեծացրել էր: Էդգարը պատանի հասակից իր վրա էր վերցրել ընտանիքի հոգսը, քանի որ մայրն առողջական լուրջ խնդիրների պատճառով մի քանի տարի է, ինչ չի աշխատում: 

«Ես դիմեցի Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գրասենյակին, որ երեխայիս բանակ չզորակոչեն, ասացին՝ եթե միակ երեխան է, ուրեմն խնամակալ է։ Հետո պարզվեց՝ սովորականի նման վիճակահանությամբ պետք է գնա: Էդգարը նույնպես խնդիրներ ուներ կապված ողնաշարի հետ, սակայն փոքրուց երազում էր զինվոր դառնալու մասին:  Մտածեցի՝ Աստծու վրա է որդիս»,- NEWS.am-ի հետ զրույցում պատմեց Էդգար Աղաբաբյանի մայրը՝ Աիդա Աղաբաբյանը:

 Էդգարն ուներ իննամյա կրթություն: Մորն օգնելու համար վաղ տարիքից սկսել էր աշխատել,  զբաղվում է րավտոմեքենաների նորոգմամբ: Մայրը հիշում է՝ անգամ վերքոտ ձեռքերով տղան շարունակում էր աշխատել օրվա հացի համար, իսկ ծառայությունից վերադառնալուց հետո որոշել էր սեփական գործը սկսել, տունը նորոգել։

«Տղայիս հետ պատերազմի սկսվելուց հետո մեկ անգամ խոսացի՝ սեպտեմբերի 29-ին: Ասաց մամ ջան, չնեղվես, գնում ենք դիրքեր, հնարավոր է՝ կապ չլինի: Զարմացա՝ էս մատղաշ երեխաները զենք բռնելու ձևը դեռ չգիտեն, ի՞նչ դիրք», -հիշեց Էդգարի մայրը:

Տիկին Աիդան այժմ անօգնական է և անաշխատունակ, ունի թանկարժեք դեղամիջոցների կարիք:

«Ինձ բարեգործներն օգնում են, շնորհակալ եմ, բայց ես միայն իմ տղային եմ ուզում: Ես մամա բառի կարիքն ունեմ: Դեկտեմբերի 31-ի գիշերը լինելու եմ Եռաբլուրում՝ որդուս կողքիս», -ավելացրեց Աիդա Աղաբաբյանը:

 Էդգար Աղաբաբյանը նահատակվել է հոկտեմբերի 3-ին ԱԹՍ-ի հարվածից Մարտունիում:
