ԱԳ նախարար Արա Այվազյանի խոսքը լրագրողների համար՝ Աժ Արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձաժողովի հետ փակ հանդիպման արդյունքներով.

«Հարգելի գործընկերներ,

Ցանկանում եմ հանդես գալ հայտարարությամբ, և նախևառաջ խնդրում եմ չաղավաղել իմ խոսքերը և դրանք ներկայացնել ամբողջությամբ.

Առաջին, Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունը մեր ինքնիշխանության և պետականության հիմնասյուներից մեկն է: Լինելով ապաքաղաքական կառույց՝ ունի մեկ հավերժական նպատակ. ամենօրյա աշխատանքով պաշտպանել Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և հայ ժողովրդի շահերը: Ցանկացած փորձ հեղինակազրկելու այս կառույցը և ներքաշելու ներքաղաքական շահարկումների մեջ հարված է Հայաստանի պետականությանը, հատկապես այս օրերին, երբ ռազմական գործողությունների ավարտից հետո ողջ ծանրությունը և պատասխանատվությունը հետզհետե տեղափոխվում է արտաքին քաղաքականության և դիվանագիտության դաշտ: Վստահ ենք այս գիտակցումը կիսում են երկրի և ժողովրդի ճակատագրով մտահոգ մեր բոլոր քաղաքացիները և հայրենակիցները:

Երկրորդ, մենք բոլորս խոնարհվում ենք մեր ժողովրդի օրգանական, անքակտելի մաս հանդիսացող մեր ազգային բանակի առջև, որը միասնաբար և հերոսաբար դիմակայեցին Արցախի և հայ ժողովրդի դեմ Ադրբեջան-Թուրքիա-միջազգային ահաբեկչություն եռյակի կողմից սանձազերծված ագրեսիային և տապալեցին այդ ցեղասպան դաշինքի՝ պատմական հայրենիքում հայ ժողովրդին ոչնչացնելու նկրտումները: Պետք է փաստենք, որ այն իրավիճակը, որ այսօր ունենք, պայմանավորած է նրանով, որ մենք դիմակայել ենք անհամաչափ ուժերի: Ինչպես և մեր զինվորները, քույրերն ու եղբայրները Արցախում, հայ դիվանագիտությունը եղել է և շարունակում է մնալ հայրենիքի պաշտպանության առաջատար դիրքերում: Եվ հատկապես այսօր մենք մեր պարտքն ենք համարում անել հնարավորը և անհնարինը՝ իմաստավորելու մեր ժողովրդի ազնվագույն որդիների զոհողությունը և այդ ձևով վառ պահելու նրանց հիշատակը:

Երրորդ, այժմ մենք ունենք հրատապ հասցեագրում պահանջող խնդիրներ, որոնց մասին ես հստակ բարձրաձայնել եմ, այդ թվում՝ երեկ հարցազրույցում և ԵԱՀԿ նախարարական խորհրդին ունեցած ելույթում: Հայ դիվանագիտությունը մեծածավալ աշխատանք ունի անելու այդ հրատապ հարցերի լիաժեք ու համապարփակ լուծման ուղղությամբ: Դիվանագիտությունը սիրում է լռություն: Ուստի ձեր թույլտվությամբ դիվանագիտությունը լուռ կկատարի իր աշխատանքները, իսկ այդ աշխատանքների արդյունքներն ավելի խոսուն կլինեն, քան որևէ մեկնաբանություն: 

Ավարտելով ուզում եմ ասել, որ պատմությունն ունի օրինակներ, երբ դիվանագիտությունը երկիրը դուրս է բերել անգամ ամենածանր իրավիճակներից: Խնդրում եմ վստահեք և հավատացեք հայ դիվանագիտությանը»:
