«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է

Մեր ժամանակներում, երբ առանց համակարգչի կյանքն արդեն դժվար է պատկերացնել, դրա հետ կապված ցանկացած ատրիբուտ նույնպես դարձել է մեր գոյության բաղկացուցիչ մասը: Ժամանակակից համակարգիչը և նույնիսկ նոութբուքը բավականին դժվար է օգտագործել առանց համակարգչային մկնիկի: Սկզբից ասենք, որ էկրանին կուրսորը կառավարող այդ սարքի անունը հայտնվել է մի փոքր ուշ: Բայց ամեն ինչ հերթականությամբ: Համակարգչային մկնիկի ստեղծման պատմությունն սկսվել է Դուգլաս Էնգելբարտի՝ մանիպուլ յատոր ստեղծելու մտադրությունից: Նրա նպատակն է եղել հորինել մի այնպիսի սարք, որը կարող է համակարգել մարդու և մեքենայի գործողությունները:

Առաջին նման մանիպուլ յատորը ստեղծվել է ոչ թե անհատական համակարգիչները կառավարելու, այլ Ազգային ավիացիայի և տիեզերական վարչության (NASA) կարիքների համար: Նրանց անհրաժեշտ էր մի սարք, որը կարող է փոխազդել էկրանի պատկերների հետ: Էնգելբարտին հաջողվել է ստեղծել նման սարք, որն ի սկզբանե կոչվել է «X և Y դիրքերի ցուցիչ»: Դուգլասի հետ միասին Բիլ Ինգլիշը ևս աշխատել է մանիպուլ յատոր ստեղծելու ուղղությամբ և կյանքի է կոչել իր գործընկերոջ գաղափարը: Այդ մանիպուլ յատորին միացված է եղել մալուխ, և պարզվել է, որ այն երկար պոչով մուկ է հիշեցնում: Ուստի և հայտնվել է «համակարգչային մկնիկ» անվանումը: Այնուամենայնիվ, գյուտը մեծ հետաքրքրություն չի առաջացրել NASA- ում, քանի որ նման «համակարգչային մկնիկով» անհնար էր աշխատել անկշռելիության պայմաններում:

Էնգելբարտը, սարքի համար ոչ մի այլ կիրառում չգտնելով, վաճառել է արտոնագիրը շատ էժան գնով՝ ընդամենը 10 հազար դոլարով: Բայց Էնգելբարտի գործընկեր Բիլ Ինգլիշը որոշել է կանգ չառնել ձեռք բերվածի վրա և ներկայացրել է մանիպուլ յատորը Xerox ընկերությանը: Նախ՝ որոշվել է փորձել մկնիկը օգտագործել անհատական համակարգիչը կառավարելու համար, բայց հետո դա համարվել է անհեռանկարային: Համակարգչային մկնիկի պատմության մեջ նոր փուլը կապված է Apple- ի ղեկավար Սթիվ Ջոբսի հետ, հենց նա է տեսել Ինգլիշի գյուտի ներուժը և անմիջապես գնել մկնիկի արտոնագիրը Սթենֆորդի համալսարանից: Դրանից հետո համակարգչային մկնիկը թողարկվել է Apple- ի նոր համակարգչի՝ Lisa- ի հետ համատեղ:

Սարքը գնահատել են համակարգչային տեխնոլոգիայի բոլոր առաջատար արտադրողները: Թերևս հենց համակարգչային մկնիկի ստեղծումն է ոգեշնչել Բիլ Գեյթսին ստեղծել Windows-ը: Ցանկացած ժամանակակից համակարգիչ հնարավոր չէ պատկերացնել առանց համակարգչային մկնիկի, չնայած այսօր մուտքային այլ սարքեր ևս լայն տարածում են գտել, որոնցից են սենսորային համակարգերը, սենսորային էկրանները, գրաֆիկական պլանշետները և այլն:

Այնուամենայնիվ, համակարգչային մկնիկի պատմությունը դեռ չի ավարտվել, ամեն տարի հայտնվում են այդ սարքի նորացված մոդելներ, որոնք տարբերվում են իրենց նախորդներից մալուխի բացակայությամբ, լրացուցիչ կոճակների առկայությամբ, ավելի հարմար ձևով և այլն: Ի դեպ, ներկայումս մշակվում է համակարգչային այնպիսի մկնիկ, որը ոչ թե սահում, այլ թռչում է սեղանի մակերեսի վրայով, ստեղծողները հեգնանքով այդ սարքն անվանել են «չղջիկ»:
