Կոլորադոյում հիշատակել են Հին Ջուղայում Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայկական խաչքարերի ոչնչացումը

ԱՄՆ Կոլորադո նահանգում Ադրբեջանի կողմից Հին Ջուղայի շուրջ 2000 խաչքարերի ցեղասպանական ոչնչացումը դատապարտող միջոցառում է անցկացվել: Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախմբի արևմտյան շրջանի գրասենյակից, Կոլորադոյի նահանգապետ Ջոն Հիքենլուփերը դեկտեմբերի 6-ը հռչակել է որպես Հին Ջուղայում Ադրբեջանի վայրագ գործողությունների հետ ևանքով ոչնչացված մշակութային ժառանգության հիշատակի օր:

Նահանգապետի հռչակագրի մեջ ասվում է. «Կոլորադո նահանգն այս տարի հիշատակեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցը՝ բացելով այստեղ մի խաչքար, որն արվել է Հին Ջուղայում ոչնչացված 2000 խաչքարերից մեկի նմանությամբ: Կոլորադոն բարձր է գնահատում մշակութային արժեքների պահպանումն ու հանդուրժողականությունը: Մշակութային հուշարձանների մտադրված թիրախավորումը սպառնալիք է համաշխարհային մշակութային ժառանգությանը: Ինձ տրված լիազորություններով դեկտեմբերի 6-ը հռչակում եմ Հին Ջուղայի ոչնչացման օր»:

Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախմբի արևմտյան շրջանի գործադիր ղեկավար Էլեն Ասատրյանը ողջունել է այս որոշումը՝ նշելով. «Կոլորադոն հերթական անգամ ցույց տվեց մարդու իրավունքների հարցում իր անփոփոխ հանձնառությունը: Մենք հպարտ ենք, որ Կոլորադոյի հայկական համայնքը դարձել է ուժեղ ձայն իր պետության ժողովրդավարական գործընթացներում: Շնորհակալ ենք նահանգապետ Ջոն Հիքենլուփերին ուժեղ կառավարման և մեր հասարակության ու համաշխարհային հանրության տեսանկյունից այս կարևորագույն հարցերում ցուցաբերած վերաբերմունքի համար»:
