Սիրելի´ ժողովուրդ, թանկագի´ն եղբայրներ եվ քույրեր, թեժ կռիվների բովով անցած իմ զինակիցներ…
Այսօր ինձ համար շատ ծանր օր է: 1988 թվականի փետրվարին իմ կողմից արձակված առաջին փամփուշտն իմ ժողովրդի անվտանգության համար էր: Այնուհետև իմ անմիջական նախաձեռնությամբ, զրոյական վիճակից, շնորհիվ և ի փառս իմ ժողովրդի, մենք կարողացանք ստեղծել կանոնավոր զորք, այն է՝ Ասկերանի պաշտպանական շրջանը՝ գունդը: Իմ հրամանատարությամբ մեր գունդը մասնակցել է Արցախի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության բազմաթիվ մարտական գործողությունների՝ տարբեր ճակատներում բեկումներ մտցնելով:
Այո´, մենք լռեցրեցինք Աղդամի տարածքում գտնվող բոլոր կրակակետերը և այն ազատագրեցինք: 1991–1994 թթ. 3000 անձնակազմ ունեցող գունդը, բացի իր հիմնական պաշտպանական հատվածից մասնակցել է նաև Մարտակերտի, Քարվաճառի, Լաչինի, Հորադիզի ուղղություններում ազատագրական պայքարին: Այդ ընթացքում կորցրեցինք մեր լավագույն 292 մարտիկներին, ունեցանք երկու անհայտ կորած և վիրավորվեցին 475 մարտիկներ, որոնց մեծ մասը ապաքինվելով վերադարձան շարքեր: 27 տարի շարունակ Ասկերանի պաշտպանական շրջանը փառքով կատարեց իր առջև դրված բոլոր խնդիրները: Նույնը՝ 2016 թվականի ապրիլին և 2020 թվականի սեպտեմբեր, հոկտեմբեր, նոյեմբեր ամիսներին՝ Թուրքիայի բացահայտ մասնակցությամբ և Ադրբեջանի կողմից սանձազերծված պատերազմի ընթացքում:
Այսօր շատ դառնացած ու վիրավորված եմ, քանզի տկար և ապաշնորհ քաղաքական գործիչների կողմից վարած հակահայ քաղաքականության արդյունքում Ասկերանի և մյուս պաշտպանական շրջանների գնդերը թողեցին իրենց մարտական հենակետերը:

Սակայն դու չե´ս պարտվել, Հայ Զինվոր, լսու´մ ես, դու հաղթել ես…
Սիրելի´ հայրենակիցներ, ես երբեք չեմ լքել ձեզ ու չեմ լքելու: Իմ Արցախն ու իմ ղարաբաղցիներն իմ սրբությունն են: Շարունակելու եմ իմ պայքարը, մենք իրավունք չունենք պարտվելու և հիշեք՝ հաղթելու ենք:
Շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում այն հարյուրավոր իմ մարտական ընկերներին, որոնք անսալով իմ կոչին ոտքի ելան, զենք վերցրին: Կոչ եմ անում ձեզ, պահենք և պաշտպանենք մեր սուրբ երկիրը, քանզի դա մեր յուրաքանչյուրի սրբազան պարտքն է: Ես համոզված եմ, որ եթե մենք համախմբվենք, դեն նետենք վախն ու հուսահատությունը, շատ կարճ ժամանակում հաղթելու ենք:
Իմ խոնարհումը բոլոր նահատակված մեր մարտիկների ընտանիքներին, բոլոր վիրավորներին՝ շուտափույթ ապաքինում:
